your day of birth
hehe I meant too late for that count to be accurate since it would have already been about a minute later hehe. Yeah I got that feeling before that I might have been on the younger side of the site, but that works for me because some of you guys have been working on these cars since my parents were in high school. Lots of great info to be learned. SuDZ

R180/R200 which is which???
So is this a r200. The owner said it came out of a 1976 280Z but I did not think that the r200 came in that car. Am I just mistaken on this? I was curious because Motorsport offers a LSD for a r180 up through '76 and a r200 from 77 on. Thoughts? SuDZ

Coolant lines on Carbs?
Okay thanks. I guess at some point in my cars history someone thought they needed to be. They have what looks like header wrap around them. It is pretty old looking so I was not sure if this was an original item or not. Thanks again Carl. SuDZ

Coolant lines on Carbs?
Now for replacing the lines there with regular lines from the parts store - do you think that would be fine or would I have to wrap them with a "Heat Wrap" kind of material? SuDZ

Voltage regulator question
Oh cool. I did not realize that you could bump up your amps a bit this way. I can see wanting to clean out the engine bay with things a little too. Thanks for the answers. SuDZ

Voltage regulator question
I have seen that people have done this but was not sure of one thing - why? What I mean is what are the benefits/difference and why is this a better method? I am trying to figure this out but can't find the right info. SuDZ

Coolant lines on Carbs?
I was just curious what the point of the coolant lines were on the carbs. I have not seen them before, but only dealt with down draft carbs in the past. Is this to keep them cool from the exhaust manifold right below? On another not many of the coolant lines on my carbs are cracked or leaking. Can I just replace these with regular coolant hoses or do I need to protect them somehow for the heat? SuDZ

240 - 260 strut swap?
i was actually curious to see if struts and springs from a 240 would fit a 260. I wonder this because when looking through some places online they list as having struts for a 240 but not a 260. Should they be the same? I have a two seater 260 by the way not the 2+2. SuDZ

Color code for green
I am trying to figure out the color code for my Z. It is a 74 and the original color was close to the green on my pictures. I tried looking at the tags but they sort of faded over the years. It looks like it could be a 903 or a 908. Do either of these sound right? I am trying to figure it out so I can get the original color back on there eventually. SuDZ

Clutch Slave Cylinder
Just figured I would update this thread a bit. I was still having problems getting pressure through the lines. So here is what I did and maybe it will help someone else. I just removed the slave cylinder and left the hose hanging. Then I would cover the hole on the tube with my thumb and have my helper pump the clutch. Eventually it would build pressure and blow my thumb off the hose. Then I would have them stop, recover it with my thumb and do it again. I did this over and over until there was fluid flowing out the hose with every pump. I was never so excited to be gettting myself covered in clutch fluid in my life. SuDZ
