  3. Victor Actually it is based on that Saab 2 seater coup they used to make. But I can't remember what they called it. I believe that model was origionally made of fiberglass as well.
  4. I have been watching the early winter storms you have been going thru. I ran across this picture the other day that I took in Minnesota a long time ago. All custom built with small block ford. .

  12. Hi Joe Good luck on the TR6. I had a 69 TR6 that I sold to get my 72 Z. That TR was a lot of fun. I wish it was in my garage now as the 69's are rare. The Z's were whipping me in autocrosses at the time and after driving a Z I just had to have one.

  22. I saw dhayes5 post on his radiator and was reminded of what I experienced on my 72 240. It has already been 10 years ago but my temp guage would creep up to the hot range when pushing it on the highway. It would start between 60 and 65 and creep up the faster I went. In slow traffic on even a hot day the car was always in the normal range. That did not make sense so I was thinking I was having a waterpump problem at higher speeds. I did have small seepage on the top radiator tank for a while. I had seen many Z's with same leak. I decided to take tank in to a shop for repair. He called me and said their flow test showed a calulated 65% blockage. The core was shot! I am glad they tested it or I would have put the repaired pice of crap back in car. There was my highway problem. I had them recore with a triple core and the guage has never moved past half since. Even flat out in 5th gear. Moral is if you bring in radiator for repair get a flow test also unless they automatically do it. Oh, it was $200 but I got to retain the origional radiator.
  23. Darrin, Remember if your ride ht. has changed you must have your toe in reset. Also I have the stock 280 front bar on my 72. they are not as big as you mentioned. I had one of those bigass front aftermarket bars and it tore the mounts right out of the frame. I was autocrossing a lot. Pissed me off at the time. The rear one I have is the type that mounts forward.
