Authentic C110 Skyline GT-R grille badge Ebay Australia
I got it today! I should have got it Monday but the Courier was a spaz. Still though, I'm happy! I had more pictures (of it on it's own inside the grille and of the whole car with it in the grille) but they became corrupt when I accidentally tried to save one back to the memory card from the camera using the USB card reader.... DOH! I couldn't be bothered going out and taking a bunch of pics AGAIN!

Yahoo Japan KPGC110 grille
Oh and here is what it says roughly translated; "It went out with the mistake of this one. Excuse it was not. Is not FRP make and it is something which flimsy we have not done and will be secure. Whether or not real thing as for? You do not understand, but they are rather good ones. We ask with the no claim no return. Renewal being completed: November 16th 19:56 Furthermore, also the part which the emblem is installed being attached, it gets off." I'm sure Alan may be able to help us out if you're really interested, sometimes I can figure it out but other times I just get confused.

Yahoo Japan KPGC110 grille
There's a small part in english that reads "(Seller will not ship internationally.)" But I guess there's always asking, perhaps, If you do manage to get ahold of one to get cast, I'd love to have one of the fibreglass ones you make from it

Noooooooooo, dude, the single philips head bolt is the one you only ever loosen to adjust the timing, in order to remove the dizzy's properly, you remove the two 10mm bolts just below that, which is abviously what you were calling the 'pedestal' *click* whoops, sorry, yes.. you use the 'pedestal'. Something to note is that the 'pedestal' is UNABLE to be rmoved from the optical R30 dizzy and you HAVE to undo the two 10mm bolts. Sorry dude, this is obviously wherer things went a little down the creek for you. For whatever reason, I thought you mean the 'pedestal' was the section below the two 10mm bolts. I've always just removed the 10mm bolts to take the dizzy off, have never tried seperating any of the dizzy components (other than the cap :classic:)

Electronic Igniton on 240k
I AM! :classic: I didn't add or remove any ballast resistor, but having said that, perhaps that's why mine is being a bit of a pain in the arse at the moment, however, it did run fantastically for months after I changed to the leccy dizz. Unsure sorry, I think the only ballast resistor in the K is either located in behind the dash or alternatively under the black panel on the right front quarter. Only took the dizzy, it slots right on in although from looking at the base of both the points and electronic, you might feel a bit suspect about whether it will be a direct replacement, but it certainly is. In regards to your picture, I don't see anything wrong, have you checked whether the rotor spun when it's cranking? If it did spin, did you check for spark? Did the car sound like it was even attempting to fire? When I replaced mine, it really was a simple case of, one out, one in, change coil, add wire, turn key, vroom.. she started up straight away and ran smoother than it had done since I've had her. Mayhaps I'm just lucky? :tapemouth

Well, both my electronics have the one on the left whereas my points-based uses the one on the right, I don't think it would really matter too much to be honest.

New 240K coupe owner introduction
Lachlan; Of course I have one All my pictures are stored on my brother's drive and the network is playing up a bit so I might have to go all budget and get a floppy disk... manual labour.. how rude Out of curiosity Jesse, didn't James' car come with a set of bolt-on flares? are you going to use them as a guide in your setup or not at all? I'd really really like them if you would be willing to have them shipped to NZ, I'm fairly certain I asked James if I could buy them before he sold the car but he said they were going with it. Being you got the car, and might not be using them... hint hint. Note: This black C110 is how I want mine to look except I will have gunmetal flares, a front chin spoiler and gunmetal grille. It will look AWESOME! :beard:

Tom, You have to add another wire in, crimp on a spade connector (or two dependant on how you want to attach it to the coil) and wallah! I found (eventually) the wiring picture I was looking for, even though Bruce explained it.

Badges
The only possible addition I can think of at the moment would be that I would imagine the completely different type would have come about at the advent of the C111 which from what I can tell is either late 1975 or early 1976. Unfortunately all my pictures are on my brother's computer and the network is being a right spaz. So I'm unable to confirm or deny or add to your thoughts in regards to the possiblity of the black one being GT-R only.

Badges
In a word... No. The C210 uses all upper case letters on it's rear quarter badge, the C210 is when the Skylines cars started getting square (as in very squared angles) and as such, so did the logos/badges.

Badges
$90AUD??!?!?!!!!!! I picked up a spare one last week off an auction site for $15NZD which is what.. about $2AUD ! ok.. our dollar isnt that bad but.. still! Is that the average or an OK price for such an item in Aus? (Good score on the Bluebird badge, BTW, I would have taken that for $4 as well )

Badges
I have a few badges here and there but I some are missing pins and even those I'm pretty keen on hanging onto, I've got a rear quarter 'Skyline' badge sitting in my grille, I was going to (eventually) get around to making some copies up for my car but that's a wee way off. I've also got to make a trip to the local wreckers here and grab a 'SKYLINE' dash badge for Lachlan and a few other 2000GT-X badges from the JDM C110 sitting at the wreckers. I know this doesn't really help your quest other than to prove that the badges are out there, it's just a matter of finding them.

That, my friend, is the beautiful C130 Laurel Hardtop . A fantastical car with the same underpinnings and powerplants as the C110 (minus the S20, of course) It is quite possibly my second most desired Nissan behind the C110 GT-R, although, maybe third, I really love the CSP311 Silvia's too.
