I am now Z less
Excellent!!! Hopefully this will just make it a matter of time until the Z is found, I've been keeping the hope alive in my house in little old NZ by putting your car as my background, I know, it sounds kinda silly and the likelihood of it achieving anything is nil but it's all I can do.

Opinions Wanted: Iron Cross Style Wheels
Victor, You couldn't direct me to a picture of the "Swastica" wheels could you? I don't think I know the ones you mean.

Opinions Wanted: Iron Cross Style Wheels
I know you said "Just kidding" which also secretly means you still want it done I also know I'm not datto_240Z. I figured it doesn't matter who does it as long as it's done right? So here you go, I took the liberty of lowering her a little as well, I hope that's OK. I also put on a larger diameter wheel than your current ones. I don't think you'll mind though Enjoy. I didn't take my time with the lowering so there's a few glitches to the total image that you'll spot without too much problem I'm guessing. But the desired afect is achieved in any case.

Opinions Wanted: Iron Cross Style Wheels
I think the ZX wheels add a chunky squaredness that screws with the smooth flowing lines of the earlier Z, If you were to paint black or gunmetal inbetween the spokes your current wheels I think you'd achieve a much nicer look without disturbing the round curves of the car, being the current wheels have a nice curved flow to the spokes. But as I said at the start of the post, up to you. Oh and your current wheels look to have a nice dish to them even if it's partially a visual illusion due to the curvature of the spokes the flatness of the Iron Cross wheels just doesn't compare to a nice dish.

Lead footed B's.
I findparticular problems with people driving in the snow, where I am, it tends to snow maybe once every odd winter and when it does LOOK OUT! Obviously a sensible driver would be extremely cautious in the snow due to the extreme lack of grip, several times I've had to watch myself at intersections as those same people who never use gears to slow down and only brake in the last 10m before the intersection are the same people who fly right through them in their vain attempts to stop. It's all about driving FOR THE CONDITIONS, whether they be weather or road surface, car or otherwise. I'll come clean, I've been done once for speeding, never had an accident in a car (Had 1 motorcycle crash, year before last, the engine seized and the rear wheel locked, I don't remember any of it, my brother was behind me on his bike, that's how I know.) and my speeding ticket was a bunch of pooh. The speedo on the car was out and I was in the passing lane UP A HILL no less, and got snapped for "135+" KPH the speedo said 115kph. That was in my brothers old 280ZX come to think of it. Bloody X that did it I reckon, if she'd have been a Z maybe it would have never happened.

Alan, I'm just guessing here as the only thing I've ever raced around a track was a motorcycle and even then it was only a Open-Day of sorts to try and bring more people into the club (fun though and I kicked some arse). But perhaps if you were to have an identical or at least very similar size up front as in the rear then you'd experience less traction loss due to the extra drive that the wide rears create being counteracted by the extra grip or bite that the wide fronts would create, it makes sense in my head today, it probably won't tomorrow and when it comes down to it, I really don't know, it was just a thought. I've also attached an image of my bike, just because I can and I love it this is before my accident the year before last. Since then she's been sitting in the shed partly dismantled since she got a bit mutilated. I'll get her back eventually.

280zx bonnet, nose cones & qtrs on to 260z
Please anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but from the tid-bits of Z things I've picked up from this site, unless I've mis-read... the 280Z front panels should work but the ZX definately won't and even if they did, they'd look fugly.

All right you lot, let's have you.
There's no such thing as a "too strong" coffee surely! Especially not in France! As for me, coffee isn't my problem I've just never really been all there. :stupid: :stupid: :stupid:

Do It Yourself Immobilizer
I'm not sure how things are with you guys in your various states over there. But here in NZ if you don't have the Alarms and ImmobiliZer's professionally installed then not only do you not get any discount on your insurance for having it but they may turn into butt monkeys and not even pay out.

There's plenty of GSR Cordia Turbo's left over here (in NZ), there's just something about them that doesn't seem right though. That and Mixofshitties (Mitsubishi's) seem to be made of the thinnest metal in the world and seem dreadfully unsafe.

Sean Dezart, I would like to take this moment to say... Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Which would be closely followed by; "Do do dodododo do do dodo" <- the little circus clown ditty.

Competition headers - carbs too hot
Well, should you get new headers and want to fob off your old manifold touching ones, I may be the kind of fool :stupid: that would buy them, only problem would be freight coupled with how much you'd want for them, judging by your previous response you're in Aus, but at least it wouldn't be as bad a freight price as if they were to come from Japan or Yankeeland. I'm in NZ btw.

Competition headers - carbs too hot
For the price of new headers wouldn't some form of heat coating and a heat shield be a more viable option? I have no idea, I'm wondering myself.

Oh dear Lachlan, you've really let the wuss out of the bag, next you'll be screaming some ditter about being "Like a Virgin", though if you were anything like Madonna I doubt that would be the case, hmm, did I just call you a whore? Who knows! I sure don't.:stupid: I bet your prized Madonna possession isnt even that naked book she bought out, no.... I believe it's your collection of replica 80's Madonna bangles!! Now let's see that photo of you wearing them!

Watanabe Price Opinions
Alan, Should you ever decide to not use the 11's I'll sell my mother to get them from you. But seriously, that's freakin' awesome, Insane yes, but awesome also, have you ever put them on your car just to see how wide they stick out from the flares? I'd like to see that image.
