  5. There's no doubting how tough the RB20's are. For the first year my mate had his, it (unknown to us) had a shagged fuel pump. Put it in a dyno comp (still pretty much stock other than the RB25 turbo) and it was only then we saw it was running 15:1 AFR's in the top end and pinging it's head off. Anyhow, we chucked a bosch 040 in there and it's been fine and dandy since. Mind you it is down 20psi on cyl 1, yet still runs very strongly and reliably.
  6. It'd have been damn good fun that thing. I'm a regular driver of a mates R32 skyline. Basically the mods are 3" exhuast turbo back, intake, RB25 turbo, 600x300x75 FMIC and a few ECU changes (removing limiters etc....no mapping changes). Not sure what sort of power it's making....but it sure is damn fun. Oh...running 16psi too.

  8. RedStage: Nice! I'm quite a fan of the Ceffy.....and RB20's. You have to just love the way they scream out to the 7800 rev limit (with a larger turbo that is). Mind you, the lack of torque sorta sucks when your used to driving something torque like the z car.
  9. Had a surge tank a few weeks back.....gone now. Can't help you with the other bits though. I'll let you know if the guy I'm thinking of wants the plenum.
  10. Got some pics of the plenum. Might have someone interested. What you after in the way of zed parts?

Haha....no... 260DET just means that more people will see your question if you start a new thread, and thus you're more likely to find yourself a nice 240.
  12. Ahh...I've seen a battery do that once before when it was low on fluid. Check your levels if you haven't already.

Yeah exactly....well more than I can afford. For that price I'd want it to bed a very high quality T shirt.
  14. Get a multimeter over the battery terminals, see what voltage you're getting. Anything 14.4V is getting a bit high.

Can't help you with brands, but I would recommend getting your headers ceramic coated and also fabricating some form of heat shield between the headers and the intake manifold/carbs. The heat shield alone should make a huge difference.
  16. Three your old battery? Your doing well! Is the battery making the sound when it's under load, or no load?
  17. I've had this same problem before, but as everyone else said, it could be many many different things. In my case the solder join between the running lights wire and the switch itself had heated/melted/moved over time till the solder was touching the switch's metal casing, shorting it out. I desoldered the join, then resoldered it properly. The whole problem was that it was dodgily soldered by the previous owner (they'd completely mutilated the wiring in this car ). The solder joint only had a small contact area, so heated up, melting the solder thus allowing the wire to move and short out on the casing. I'd recomend you get in there with a multimeter and start debugging it. Work your way up from the fuse box. Good luck.

Ahh...good idea. Just checked. Excellent rating, mostly as a buyer. Has sold 3 items, all of which have good feedback.

I'll give it a whirl. Thanks for the suggestion.

I assumed the guy must have got them from somewhere, then was selling them off at a profit. Am I a pessimist or what? Turns out he has two of them up atm.

    It is.

In the past 6 months I've had my zed on the road, I've been amazed by the number of older guys that will come up to me and tell me stories how they were destroyed in their *insert old aussie V8 muscle car* by a Z. They all seem of have great respect for the zed ("they" being real enthusiasts). Of course then there's the younger generation that generally have no bloody clue. Showed a particular VX SS commodore and a MY03 WRX what my "dunger" (as they put it) could do (on the private race track of course ). Porsches... Hmm I do like my porsches. There's an older bloke that lives up the road here has a 993 911C4. Absoloutly imaculate that car, handles beautifully, looks stunning and makes one of the most glorious sounds I've ever heard.

I gotta have one! This is the back of the T. The front has a smaller version of the same logo.
  24. Wont be the computer. Buggers me what it is though. Relay of some type maybe?
