  1. I was thinking of my latter suggestion as the way to go.... Valve cover and pcv to catch can then catch can to check valve in intake. No loss of vacuum and no unmetered air!
  2. Tapped... I might powder coat this one rather than polish...
  3. The catch can will run a small filter for venting. Same function as adding a filter to the top of the valve cover except no oil mist on the valve cover. The PCV will still go to the bottom of the intake. I will review the FSM before final implementation... I still need to tap a location for the valve cover vent. Or the PCV can go to the catch can too and the clean air pumped back to the intake...
  4. Cleaning up the top of the engine so the Pallnet rail looks clean on the polished intake. Plug wires routed in front and oil breather to a catch can to keep the intake clean.
  5. Some pretty ugly welding by yours truly...
  6. What a nice car! GLWS!
  7. Disassembled the valve cover and true enough, the baffle was hiding a ton of crap. Emptied her out then brought it all to work and ran it through this bad boy! More work (welding, grinding, polishing) on the valve cover to come.
  8. Pics of the new rails. very nice!
  9. It is going to get thoroughly cleaned. I will be removing the baffle for cleaning as well. I plan to tap the back of the valve cover and relocate the oil breather to a catch can on the firewall.
  10. Hazmatts thread?
  11. I should set up my Go Fund Me page....
  12. In other news, the Zedd Findings frame rails showed up today!! They look superb as expected and have extremely good quality welds and finishes to them. Looking forward to getting these installed. I picked up a set of telescopic supports to hold the chassis while i separate the old rails off and install the new ones. I don't want there to be any load on the frames as I replace it. Pics to come.
  13. Let me get my photoshop book out...
  14. Ooookay. Doesn't seem fast on my end! Tonight's work! Before: After: Before: After: Followed by a loooong cleanup of the shop. I think I am actually finished the media blasting! At least the big stuff!
  15. ... riiiight....
  16. If you want international customers to be more interested, remove the global shipping... It adds $70 cdn to the order for no reason (duty?). Direct shipping does not incur these charges. That and eBay charges a fortune for the shipping regardless. ($63 cdn) Other than that... Drool!
  17. Thanks Charles! My frame still has the remnants of the old parts so I should be good.
  18. Yeesh. The cheapskate in me cringes....
  19. Then a little eBay cruising for the rebuild kit...
  20. And top that off with a successful trip to Pick and Pull for 87 Cressida 11mm low ohm 198cc fuel injectors for my future Pallnet fuel rail. Also some quick clip injector plugs from an Audi:
  21. Then some parts my dad brought up from Calgary that I bought off Kijiji:
  22. More goodies arrived today! First, the nice lower rad mount parts from Charles:
  23. Happy to facilitate such good conversation!...
  24. I plan on spending a lot of time de-media'ing the car and components. Vacuuming, blowing, tilting, rotating....
