  1. Hi Cuong, I have bits to build an RB that will really GO! Brand new, never used, stress free, & all machined RB30 block direct from Nissan Japan, $450. RB25DET head with cams, coils, covers, ex-manifold, modified (top half only) intake manifold for front mount throttle body, etc (no turbo), $900. Complete second hand RB30 bottom end with crank, rods, sump, etc, $200. E-me if you or anyone else is interested, I have pics. Nick.
  2. Do you have another set of ignition leads to try & eliminate the possibility? You mentioned changing alot of items except the leads. Nick.
  3. Definitely will be going with or without my car Cuong, have to see your beast & I'm predicting top 3 finish in car of show for you. Nick.
  4. I'd be checking the ignition leads as well. Nick.
  5. Hi Sulio, Your compression will not increase by much using the N42 as it has a very similar combustion chamber to your E88 & if you shave the head too much to get the required comp you will need 2 or 3 shims under the cam posts. I prefer using the E88 out of a EFI Skyline (highly recommended by Stewart Wilkins Rallying) which has a much better & smaller chamber & then replacing the valves with the N42's. I have one of these heads all ready to go, it's been fully reconditioned with the N42 valves in it & shaved around 20 thou (I have the 20 thou shims for it as well), I would like $500 for it if you're interested. Nick.
  6. Still a long way to go Z kid, hope to have it finished for the 2005 Z car Nationals. And YES, money will be well spent on my beast, I have the SR20DET on it's way for a full re-build, all ready have the Arias forged pistons, Eagle H beam rods & ARP head/mains stud kits are on their way from the US as we speak. Work on the engine bay is almost done, it's all been smoothed out. The fire wall was a little tricky trying to get the full sheet of brushed aluminium in, but sorted it out, had to be 2 pieces, &, you won't see the join. Later, Nick.
  7. Car is sold.
  8. The only other thing that comes to mind is the r/h seat runners & brackets might need altering/changing, might even consider different seats, GTR maybe! Nick.
  9. Silver automatic (can convert to 5 speed if need be), twin SU's, & re-skinned dash. Car is originally from Canberra & has absolutely no rust in the floors, chassis, roof, engine bay, or cargo bay, etc. Only has 1 very small spot in each door, tailgate, & above tail lights. It does however need paintwork but has NSW rego till May 2004. Price $5500 ono For further details e-mail me at (nixcars@1earth.net) or phone 0416 283 194. Nick.
  10. I don't believe it will alien-e, this 4WD set up is computer controlled. When it senses slip from the rear wheels it tranfers 50% power to the front wheels. pdxvento, the problem you will encounter though is you will have to cut out & fabricate a section of the right side floor & tunnel to accommodate the transfer case. Hope this helps, Nick.
  11. Hey zx260, I have a RB25DET manual engine for sale, $2000. It was from SSS automotive & has done 90,000kms. Nick.
  12. Here's one that was put in our newzletter last month. Guys, ENJOY! Mens rules to women . (very simple & easy to follow) #1 Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down. #1 Shopping is NOT a sport. And no, we are never going to think of it that way. #1 Crying is blackmail. #1 Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one: Subtle hints do not work! Strong hints do not work! Obvious hints do not work! Just say it! #1 "Yes" and "No" are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question #1 Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving. That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.
  13. Alfa Fibreglass: Alan Kerr is his name & can be contacted on 03 5678 8874. If you don't have any luck, I might sell you mine. Nick.
  14. Parts for these engines are available through a Nissan dealear here in Australia, if they haven't got it in stock they get it from Japan usually in about 10 days, don't know about the US though.
  15. Where are these available from? I need a set for a 240Z. Nick.
  16. Hi Lauchlan, The Bluebird box was behind a 4 cyl so strength wise won't be good enough if you have plans on increasing HP at a later date & R30 Skyline came with what they call a stumpy box so length is a problem, but a Z & K box is ideal. Ratios are different, you should have a 3.54:1 diff so the K box makes sense. If you go for the Z box make sure you get the one with 3.29 1st gear & not 2.9 otherwise the car will be sluggish off the line. ( 240K has a 3.6 1st gear) Don't forget that you need the flywheel, clutch kit, pilot busch, slave cyl, clutch master cyl, & the 2 pedals, oh & the shifter (hopefully it comes with the G/box). Good luck. Nick.
  17. Hey Alfa, No chance of it being AWD SR20 as the GTi-R & SSS Bluebird AWD cars came with the east-west (front wheel drive) version engines which makes it impossible to fit between the towers. Now RB26 AWD on the other hand has been done in a Z but the one in the pic in my opinion isn't AWD. The left head light is missing & through it I can see the strut tube, if it were AWD a completely different set up is required so as to get the drive shafts to the front hubs. I hope I'm right about this one! If there's other pics of this car I'd like to see them. Nick.
  18. g260, check the Z newzletter, I have both the RPM & SAAS pairs for sale. Nick.
  19. Guys, the twin cam x-flow head from the 432 model will not bolt onto a L series, only a S motor, hence S20. There was a x-flow head made for the nissan works cars that went onto a L motor from memory, but were not twin cam & the spark plug wasn't on top like the hemi, it was on the exhaust side. These are also quite rare & expensive. I haven't seen a pic of one on this site, I'll see if I can find one & post it. If any one thinks I may be wrong at all, please correct me as I'm only going by memory. Nick.
