  1. cheers, glad we are getting to see some more vids being posted in general! :-)
  2. cool - could you give me a link or two about where to buy, or a part no.?? many thanks!!!!
  3. great website - the first time I've seen it, just wondering where you got the strut brace on the sr20 from, looks good!
  4. well.. maybe not really drifting, just the instructor showing how it could be done. I wasn't too far off this by the end of the day though.. great fun! 240z 1jz
  5. Although this might be starting a new thread, another UK based company that I have had experince of is Kingstown shipping: http://www.kingstown-shipping.co.uk/ Kingstown Shipping Ltd Ferry Berth King George Dock Hull HU9 5PS Tel: 01482 374116 They helped me every step of the way with my import of my car from australia, and were very friendly and knowledgable. Following my car being imported, a 260z has been imported to the UK with them with no problems too..
  6. I like the look of the strut brace too, would that be a kameari item too? I had a quick look round the site but couldn't see it. It certainly is a great car though
  7. would this be the one? I remember it for sale as well, a long while back, I was looking into it, but it was very much stripped for track use.. could always ask on uk zclub forum if anyone knows of its where abouts..? As for auto active, I *believe* the owner would probably not even know that your car was on there! I think someone else takes care of the site, my old car is even on there! I think it should have a bit more of a disclaimer saying that the cars have no relation to the workshop and that photos have just been gathered from the internet.. but i think you are right, it is a bit cheeky to just nick a photo and put it on a site! edit although, I note the hypocritical nature of me just posting that pic it at least does show where I got it from!

  10. Alan, Yes - my car was indeed an Australian-market car, and does not have the front indicator repeaters. Have a quick look at my gallery for confirmation. In fact, I think I have the original sales receipt showing exectly where and when it was bought. I'll have a look if it will be of interest?
  11. V Interesting. I found it strange when I first saw my car with no side repeaters, I had originally thought they had been welded/filled! I must be one of very few in the UK without them then :paranoid:
  12. as far as I know it definitely won't be up for sale.. it took something like 14 years for him to finish it, so I think he'll be enjoying it for a while...
  13. One really nice car, and all done in the UK, for once! I've seen this car in person and is very very nice!.. A LOT of work has clearly gone into it has yet to be run in yet so haven't been to find out its true performance! Hope the samurai refernce has nothing to do with samuri conversions... 260z TT
  14. cool vid of the car, would love to something similar with mine some day.. great stuff!!
  15. Thanks for the doc bill, very useful to keep that for reference! biker, i think you might have got it, because they war i can always get it to work is to turn the ignition to 'acc', so points towards ignition key.. many thanks guys!
  16. I'm having an intermitant (worst kind!) of problem with my heater fan and wipers, where they will sometimes not work. I guess they are on the same circuit so I checked the wiper fuse and A/C fuse. both ok. then whilst I was working the heater fan started going, so I took the opportunity to remove both fuses, the fan kept going, so I unplugged the left connecter to the fuse box, which I thought would definitely stop the fan and wipers from working.. but no, they kept going. Am I missing something (entirely possible) or does it sound like that side of the fusebox been bypassed? Any ideas what to try next? thanks all! (I have a '71 by the way)
  17. Phew - think I got to the bottom of it. seems was not realted to the tach after all. I think it was the power relays for the haltech. I hadn't started the car for a month or so, and apparently if the relays get damp, you just get no power to the haltech. which obv. just cuts the engine.. I got the car starting, but now only starts at the 2nd or 3rd attempt, where it used to start first time everytime, so something still isn't quite right.. at least its running again though!
  18. thanks for the help! Hopefully I'll be able to see how it is all hooked up this weekend!
  19. Thank for the reply, but with my engine swap and e6k I don't have a single coil, or dizzy! since all this is bypassed I though I wouldn't need the tach..!
  20. Hi all, I'm in the middle of replacing my 240z tach with a 280z one, I tried starting my car without the tacho plugged in at all, and the car wouldn't idle, although it would turn over.. I'm running a haltech ecu, so I thought the problem with needing the 'loop' through the 240z tach wouldn't be an issue? Otherwise its just a coincidence that something else has happened, or I did something whilst removing the tach.. Why didn't I try to start the car BEFORE removing the tach to check everything was ok:stupid: please help its drivin me mad!
  21. Just found this: HPI v6 taster Looks like it could be the spirit garage s30 racing? Has anyone seen video for real and can confirm it? I'll have to see if any other ones featuring s30s :classic: How come we never get stuff like this in the UK, looks like I might have to get a subscription to zoom and HPI sent over here!
