I have found that water circulation on and around the part is the key to shiny parts. I use 3 small pumps, harborfreight is what I use.

Wording is getting out about these being reproductions...

looking good.... now you know how hard it is to tell someone how to setup for plating. Once you figure out what works for you then keep on doing it the exact same way.

Fabricated and plated a few battery cable clips today. Tomorrow I will put the rubber on them.

I have been working on the seat. Replated the hardware, sandblasted frame, painted with 2k ceramic black, new webbing and new stainless steel carriage bolts. I have new foam and new seat covers. I have about 10 hrs in just this seat.

I also have been watching these... I was starting to think reproductions after the 3rd set was on ebay...

I just used these same shims on my right door top hinge yesterday. I have two factory NOS fenders and they do not fit as good as the originals.

zx will not work...

A 260z and 280z roof will also work.. but not a 2+2

It is all in the details. new rollers and inserts.... No wonder it is going on a 5+ year restoration....

I guess I got lucky with my 71 clock. When I purchased my car in 1984 the clock did not work and I never worried about it. A few years ago when I had the dash out, I took the back off the clock and noticed one of the wires had come off the solder. Soldered it back on and it started working. It must have had a bad solder job from factory and probably only work for a little while.
