They arn't fast but they arn't slow either... but they have plenty of power to be sliding around with a quick change to second... beleive i did it on a test drive as i was going to buy one but didn't have the money in the end... ... theres alot in japan with rb25det's, or gtr engines, the 200zr's, came with recaro interoir (gear stick, steerring wheel and seats) and less weight trim, still had electric windows and a few other bits and peices, but the main part was they came with beefier suspension, and a short R200 with 4.11 or 4.34 gearings all with 45ft torque LSD's

they got Onevias, when crap engines, KA24s, was cheaper for nissan.... u'll have heaps of fun with the KPS13, make sure you've got a 4.1 or 4.3 LSd rear, hks 2530, and all those other bolt ons, , and coil overs and lots of camber on the rear and u'll be sliding around with that thing a hell of a lot..., and doing mid 13s , they are very tail happy with some power...

OKey, this is sort of a rant, but more of a positive look on the Z I'm 20, had my license for 2 years, my first car was a 76 2 seater 260z, i loved this car, even thou it was rusted, hardly worked 100% untill 4 weeks before it got stolen, but thats another matter, so i don't have that car anymore... but since then i've driven numerous types of differant cars, to name a few with differant power configs, 4cyl turbo's, 6cyl turbo's v8s, n/a 4 etc etc, currently have a ae86 sprinter as i wanted a differant car other than a Z, but did i find this the wrong option to go for, shoulda listend to the Z community, but u live and you learn. to mention a few that i have driven ma70 supra turbo A 5spd 6cyl turbo commodore vp ss 5spd v8 modded vn commodore 5spd v6 a few vl turbos 5spd 6cyl turbo modded datsun 1600 ca18det 4cyl turbo highly modded ae86 sprinter/levin, 4ac and 4age 4cyl n/a S13 180sx sr20det 5spd 4cyl turbo highly modded s13 silvia ca18det 5spd 4cyl turbo R32 skyline gtst 5spd, 2ltr 6cyl turbo even a clubmen with a 100kw 4age Z31 200ZR 6cyl turbo still want to drive a FC rx7 each one of these cars, do not compare to the Z, with driving postion, feel for the road, general feel of the car, and i need another one to even get the feeling of driving a real sports car again, the only better aspects of some of the cars were that they had LSD and had a bit more power, but thats not that hard to get on the Z, the best car out of that list would be the 200zr, and the S13 180sx, compared to the Z so after that slightly large rant, id like to know what other cars people have driven that have either not lived up to the feel of the Z, or feel just as good or even better than the Z..... i think because my first car was a Z that i thought cars that people thought that were great would be a good as a Z, i think its just that these people have not driven a Z before and so they havn't realised its so much fun... PS. sorry again for the rant, but need to get it out

i think 76+ came with electronic pumps...

that sounds like a fuel pump problem.... meaning like i had the same problem.... the fuel pump was only pushig 0.8 psi, when it should be pushing 6-8psi, so its fine for normal driving, but not enough to keep the floats full when going hard... check your fuel pump presssure with a normal pressure guage... i would cain though 1st and 2nd and hit 3rd and id have to back off and put it in 5th... it would start stuttering my 260 had a electric pump, i changed it to a facet pump, sometimes the pumps go bad when sitting for a long time, i think urs was sitting for a while yer.

Ive talked to a person at JMS as i tryed to source 200zr mounts, and they told me that on the 200zr the mounts are the same as the R31 mounts, as the differance on the 200zr compared to the 300zx is the crossmember, and they use the normal R31 mounts. might not be confrimed, but can try something, mounts for a R31 Rb from a wreckers would be less than $40, but the 200zr Rb20det sump and pickup is the one that will bolt straight up to any Rb engine, and fit staright into the Z, not like the R31,R32, R33 sumps etc which need modifying, but a 200zr sump with pickup from nissan, cost around $550

i'm looking for something in the $500 range... as the wheels are AS NEW, but the tyres are crap, but if you offer me something i might just take it

Hey sorry for keep on posting sale stuff here, but wats the point of putting in the for sale section, when the yanks won't understand that i'm in another country I've got 2 sets of wheels here, that have been sitting here since i had my old Z, they both fit the Z, and look great... one set are 16x7s Performance alloys Tyres are gone, but are still on the rims, no gutter scuffs, like new condition... and they come new lug nuts, and look awesome on the Z look at the attachments for the Pics i test fitted them on my sprinter and they are to big, so give me a decent offer and take them away, i'll be able to drop them off at a freight company or watever, but you'll need to organise it other set is other set is 14x6 Mesh wheels, charcoal grey center, with alloy outer these are a tad used, the edges have a bit of gutter marks, but otherwise in great condtion, i don't have nuts for these, bought them for my sprinter but i want 15s. i want at least $300 for these, as i paid a bit more than $300 but willing to take a loss, i can drop off at a freight company if you want etc etc, same as other wheels I need money for my Sprinter CA18det conversion... are you saying you want a dodgy rwc, i know a few places that arn't as stringent as most inner city places, but you'd need to drive to my side of town.... western suburbs

not sure what you mean by best results, but whoever told you that you can't build a quality L28 in your backyard either wants to get your hard earned money, or has tried it themselves, and stuffed it cause they are stupid, i rebuilt my L26 when i was 17, and it was strong as a oax, just take it slow, and do it by the book.... its where you get your machine work done is the main crucial part about engines, take it to a quality machinist, then put it together back at your house... should take max of a weekend to put back together....

aye gav long time to speak ehh yer its to expensive for me.... that why i havn't bought it yet... and the sprinter is alright, after christmas the car should be finished, and well go for a run up the hills toyota vs nissan... but u know i'm still a Z boy at heart, once i finish this project, i'll sell up and get another Z don't u worry, already getting the bug back, don't think i ever lost it... hehe
