R200 or R180
For a drag car wouldnt you be better off with a live rear axle!? Most guys i know will narrow a ford 9" or equivelant. If you are still looking to stay with a relatively stock solution I would suggest an R-200 with a Quaiffe LSD.

Any 240Z-280Z ITS racers members here?

magazine article
Glad you liked it...It was quite a job to get everything together for the photo shoot. It seemed as though things were not going to come together and then in the last minute it all came together....My BRE will be appearing in Sport Compact Car in the near future as well with John Morton at the wheel. My hat is off to the staff at Sports Car Intl. they did a first class job, and are great guys to work with. R

Chino, I think I am going to be out of the state on vacation, but if I am around, I will definately be there!! Got to see what this bad boy will do!! Victor, it would be fun to get my Roadster and Clemme's roadster together for a photo op. Any idea if he is going to Solvang? R

FIA calipers, should i buy?
Having a rare set of calipers is great, however these are heavy and not your best performance solution. Most vintage groups on the west coast will let you run Toyota calipers because they are roughly equivelant to the FIA calipers.

March Poll of the Month
I know that someone was selling sets on ebay about a year ago, but I would look to Les Cannaday at Classic Datsun or Designproductsracing.com (DP Racing) for a set. Les's number is 760-940-6365. Let Les or Don know that I referred you please.

March Poll of the Month
This is all the stuff that is on the car now...had the steering knuckles for years. A little research and you should be able to find a set... I think at one point I had two sets, but the second set is long gone now.

Going Muffler-less
2.4 with Mikuni's, BRE header and dual 2 1/4 exhaust to two megaphones sounds pretty awesome too, but not something to drive on the street. We are talking about 114db +

Help with unusual header I.D.(pictures)
yeah, the BRE headers are flanged so I think you can rule that out. I understand that you want to drive the car...the cost and time to get this done now you have your car apart to this point is pretty minor...I would really reconsider...but hey it is your car
-
Help with unusual header I.D.(pictures)
I know that there is a Japanese header (mentioned above) that is very close to the BRE design....that is probably what you have. From a performance standpoint it will not be as good as a Stahl header, but it is a rare item, and worth salvaging if possible. I would remove it and have it thermal coated, and run it on your car. Help with unusual header I.D.(pictures)
With the exception of the front pipe it does look quite a bit like the BRE header. Really the way to tell would be to look at the collectors and how they are set up. When I first looked at the photos above I thought that it was a BRE header but after reviewing my photos I am not so sure. here is my header: http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=11138&size=big&sort=1&cat=500 http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=9903&size=big&sort=1&cat=500

Racing $$$
I agree to the point, but in vintage racing there is no prize money....it is the ego thing, being the winner....not the money.

Mikuni vs. SK vs. ???
well they are the two experts...maybe your not asking the right questions. Both Rebello and Classic Datsun build and sell high performance datsun motors. Not motorcycles....
