I have an E31 head on my 01/70 built Z. Perhaps that's what you should be seeking....

Part # for Interior Strut Caps
It's not in my '70 - '73 parts book either. You might try calling Nissan for the number, even though it may be NLA....

tach problem
There have been 47 views. If anyone knew the answer to your problem, wouldn't you assume they'd answer?? Could be no one knows the answer given the facts you presented. I know I don't.

Webers leaking
I don't think that's the way Nissan did it....

new radiator
Good for you, George. I'd love to get a new radiator, but if it ain't broke.... My original is cooling hunky-dorey, even with Vintage Air added. The gauge never gets above 1/8" past half way. Had it pressure tested not two months back and all is well. See you in Nashville! Rumor: Venice is sending boats..... bad joke.

Face it. Our Zs are smile-makers. It's our burden to carry, so smile back and roll on....

Even Webers prefer Hitachi SUs
So you learned two things: a)How to extinguish a carb fire without an extinguisher, and 2) how fast your wife can run in an emergency. Have you placed 911 on speed-dial yet?

You ought to get creative and frame these gems. An old buddy of mine took bits and pieces of his MGA's exploded engine and brazed them together to create "Ode to an MG." I don't think he made reference to "Lucas, Prince of Darkness," but maybe he should have. Frank

new here
4.2K seems OK for the car in the link. I'd want to lay eyes on it first, but it's a very definite possible.

Air Cleaners
Dave, re#8.... What are the dimensions of your air filter assemblies. I'm having zero luck in finding 7 x 4.5 x 4.0-4.5 K&N units.... If you have a part number that would be even better! Thanks!! UPDATE: I found K&N 56-1350 with all the correct dimensions save height. At only 3 1/4", that leaves the velocity stack only 1/4" to breathe..... I've written K&N so may get a response Monday....

The tax is irrelevant. He's being an a-hole because he's been stung. Or is one naturally.

battery hold down
Someone posted earlier about the Optima having "booster" legs that alleviated the need for hold-down modifications. Is that not the case?

BP6ES v BPR6ES
Yes, they save the planet. There is no difference in performance, only price, if that. As the article from NKG said, the resistored plugs are needed only for computer controlled cars. Ours, obviously, ain't.

Air Cleaners
You know, I used to know what I just learned.... :-( Thanks to all of you for reigniting the ol' memory cells. I've contacted K&N for the correct filter number to acquire. As I don't need the backing plates or caps, I'm hoping I can save a buck or three by just getting the filters. When I get 'em, I can run my 3" horns as a matter or course. Thanks again! Frank

Air Cleaners
Thanks for the link, Andy. I'll check it out... Chris, no, my K&Ns are too shallow to allow for the use of horns, so I run sans horns. Size? The assembly measures 1 7/8" thick, are 7" long and 4 1/2" wide.

sourcing electrical upgrade parts
I concur w/SteveJ. I am NOT an electrical wizard. I am not a wizard of any genre of expertise with the possible exception of welding.... but that's off topic. Dave has a superb product line, each tested and approved by countless customers, including me! Price is a function of value, and for my hard-earned and very scarce retirement dollar, David's stuff cannot be replicated or duplicated for the price he charges. Plus, you have the satisfaction of relatively instant customer service via this medium or email. David, like any other entrepreneur, doesn't want any dissatisfied customers, so he will do whatever is required to make things right should something go wrong. And he makes damned good chocolates, too.
