I wasn't sure where in the world this should go! Now it is time to unveil a new site for Z owners in the NYC tri-state area: nyzcc.org/forum The new club is now formed, so you guys I have bothered over the past year in the area....here is your new club. Before anyone takes this the wrong way, this is not an attempt to take people away from Classiczcar or anything of that nature. This is to inform about a club finally in the lower NY area. They are only in black. This is correct, I tried getting door panels two yrs ago and it was explained to me that Nissan does not drop ship items from Japan to the US dealers and only to the Canada dealerships.....stupid yes but I am sure there are reasons for complicated for which I care to know. This is why I drove to Cananda and bought a few sets, to justify my asking price for the panels for guys who are local to me....I had to drive 9 hrs each way to buy them because I didn't know anyone in Canada to get them for me....plus I was new to the Z world and didn't trust asking someone to buy and ship them to me Hopefully you guys can cont to get them but them supply seems to be running low. In the US you can still get pasn side panels only. I also happen to have a set of NOS black panels that are of the "old" grain style.
  5. I am watching that one also.... shameless plug: http://www.classiczcars.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=3665&cat=4
  6. I saw this on HBZ and thought you guys may want to see this, as I have already ordered 2 sets for my cars:

I was able to get the car inside before our big storm and will slowly begin selling off some of the parts. Between work and not feeling well for the past week...things are moving slow. Valve cover is already sold! Will post pics and more later.

You have to be very very very very very very very careful taking the "skin" off. The dash must be out of the car and you have to take your time. Friend of mine just removed the dash "skin" off his 260z last week and we did the 240 dash a few years ago. Practice on the cracked dash first and then give the crack free dash a nice coating of vaseline and do it in a warm place...heated garage or in the house.

You can just remove the outter skin of the 73 dash and put it on your 71 frame to keep all of your wires intact.

If you like the look of the 240z and small bumpers more then buy it and do your swap! You can always undo whatever you do to the car just in case you want to do a full resto "someday". If it makes you feel better....I have a 2/70 car all orginal that is getting a L30ET swap Enjoy your car because it is your money and just save the parts you swap out if you want to go back to orignal. Pics will help us help you.

Well just got my posters back from the framer and boy they do look great! Of course I have to figure out how I am going to fit them all in my room....my mother said no to the idea of putting one in the living room :stupid: When I get them mounted on a wall I will take some better pics for ya but enjoy for now. There are a few other posters I saw I would love to have in my collection. I was just born a few years late!

Just check every week.....they have been sold out 3-4 times over the last 2 years. TRUST ME.

I have a set just like that which are NOS.
  23. EVILC posted a post in a topic in Interior
The door panels in the picture above are not "NOS". I have a set of NOS panels and the ones that are being sold now, the grain on the panel itself is different. I like the newer panels more anyway but this is why the part number changed a few years back. Anyone with the new panels, take a good look at them and then at the ones on your Z and you will see what I am talking about. Glad to see the prices are back down for now.

Those panels have been around for at least 18 months now. Here in the US only one side is available and the other isn't. My local dealer order 4 of the same side thinking they were ordering 2 sets. So I am waiting them out to get them for close to nothing before they toss em in the trash. If you notice on your door panels....they can be used for USDM or JDM cars. The pull handle holes need to be made for the right application.

Those are the part numbers for black only.
