Quarter Panel question ?
Thanx I seen them on a few Z's here around Racerville but never thought they did much for the color of the car if you wanted to switch your rims to any color other than silver. Seems like a easy way to hide rust for sure but what do heatsink mean? Is it like a installation process?

Just braggin - My roadster in print
Sweeet Fairlady Vic! Congradulations on tha article, only some can be so lucky I see you keep that baby CLEAN :classic: the engine compartment looks absolutely mint as the rest of the car. Didn't know you was that big of a dude though. We could've used you on the Niner's last season  ! BTW what color paint? That cream color with those rims are nice. ~Z~

Quarter Panel question ?
Hello I used the search function and came up empty. I was looking on Ebay and Came across this nice looking 1977 280Z that was sold and was checking out the photos. Question is, Are the Recessed part on side of the front and rear Quarter Panels (where the bumpers touch) the same size on a 280z as on a 240z? Or is the Recess in the Panels on a 280z larger cause of the bigger bumpers? Also I don't know what it's called but whats up with the Chrome Rocker Panel Strip? Was that a factory piece or dealer installed option and can they be removed with much sucess? Personally I think the 280z bumpers look better if they were switched out for 240's, although I know thats been discussed before Pics and Link below and Thyanx for any replies as always ~Z~ 1977 280z sold on EBAY

1970 240z Brochure on EBAY
Very nice Brochure IMO I would've took some pictures of mine but it's in storage burried under boxes of stuff :disappoin But if I remember right theres a really nice pic of a stock Red 240z in it along with a Line drawing of the body with the drive line inside with information on the weight distribution, engine and power stats along with stuff on the Servo Assisted rear drum brakes setup and other stuff. Can't recall if they had the square hole hubcaps or not I think it's a 3 page fold out style making 3 one side and 3 on the other side giving you "6" pages of stuff to read including the cover. Theres other pics of 240z's as well and mine even came with a car sales man signigture showing it originated from Economy Car of San Diego which is pretty cool and the main reason I paid so much for it. If I find it next time I'm at storage I'll post some pics unless somebody else has one handy and does it first. ~Z~

to buy or not to buy?
It's jus me but if you could do it, beat out the original hood. Granted it might take awhile but at least you can say it's the original metal and not a donor piece. Kind of like the original survivor debate. Is it a true survivor only if it has the original paint no matter how jacked up it is, OR not? Even though I know this Z will be restored back to spec someday, Jus my 2 c's from a sucker for orignality ~Z~

So I hear they are making a Speed Racer movie.
Did you say 5,000 Horsepower 24k RPM? .... Pops racer built a mean engine back in tha day I bought the Speedracer Mach 5 play car set (1/12 scale I think) from Japan via a comic book cataloge and it's totally cool! It has the real Spinning Saw Blades up front that extend, Real rubber tires (no off road belts), Glass bubble canopy attachable, All 4 Spring loaded Jumping Jacks underneath (you can stand it as it is on the Jacks for display), The Falcon reconisence bird that comes out the body, A Pariscope and even had Spriddle and Chim Chim figures I pulled out the trunk ~Z~
