  1. Jon, i just got the complete set of Poly Bushings for my '77 280Z from MSA. Wanna be sure i get it right but what do you mean by the best solution for TC rods is a rod end? Is that a different part?
  2. Plain and simple, if your allowed to mod an engine to go faster than the brakes will allow to stop then you should be allowed to mod or replace the brakes. Gutting a car alone already means you going faster than factory and everyone knows stock brakes ain't made for the race track. Stock brakes should only be used on cars maintaining a certian amount of stock performance, speed wise. Notice, very important, speed wise. So they should go ahead and change the rules at least for one year to see how the entriants compete when allowed a certain level of said amount of brake upgrades. It's a safety issue of course and on top of that a legal one when it flies in the face of NEGLECT ! As in a neglect to listen to legitimate concerns from the racers on the course. ~Z~ BTW way Greg, nice layout in the Grass Roots Motorsports issue I bought it in downtown Sacramento after photocopying Dean Nakatsu's and figured it was you from the club while reading. Great Job on those! ~Z~

Young, so says his business card silde in a clear pocket holder on the front of the bag aswell ~Z~
  4. I picked this Thrush Glasspack up at local Speed Shop as well a couple weeks ago, originally planing using it behind the catylitic converter in the trans tunnel. Just like this one in the link below it's 28 inches long with 2.25 inlet and outlet. Thrush Glasspack picture But now since I know it'll fit in the required space I'm thinking of using it as a tailpipe. Should I DO IT ! ? ~Z~
  5. We're double checking some fitment just to make sure we get it right, Still be a while as final production hasn't started yet till we make sure the prototype's right. Keep your fingers crossed for us \ And I'm still not telling yet :tapemouth ~Z~
  6. The markets there. Of the 18 or so ANSA's i had they cleared out in around six months and that was with me being stingy about listing them all at once . Now that my sources for Z specific ANSA's dried up, (for now), I can always fab up more costum twin tips with period parts if need be but a ready to go complet SS system is a good idea and the price seems right. London Stainless Steel does it too but they're in London . ~Z~

Hi Bro, welcome to the club! Why i can't answere your question since my '77 is fuel injected, get a 240, tripple carbs preferrably Mikunis, throw in bigger a cam, sick exhaust, put it in 1st gear and floor it ! You'll have lots of fun trust me. And the 240's are lighter than the later half year 260z and 280z FYI. ~Z~
  8. Looks like everythingp in the right spot . I always thought your Z deserved a Red Twin Stack . Wish i can see more but i'm doing this from my cell phone and the picture quality stinks. . . Bummer
  9. Good man! IMO the stock hanger brackets hang too low sometimes on some Z.s, you may find the need to hang it higher up or closer to rear bumper if you like. Good thing you found your size and not the 280z's .
  10. Awesome find Arne! Acetone from a home supplie store will take the smudges off the chrome. Use soft shirt or sock and don't touch the sticker areas or the paint will come off on them. Use a Q-tip for the finer detailed areas near those stickers. That a Monza or Stebro?
  11. Yep, The California Zypher to Chicago and another train to Indy ten till midnight. Family situation safe now and be there in time for that meet. May drive Ruby there and six her back. May be a bad idea if salts that bad a killer but she's getting body and paint work when i get back. Will sent a car for the snow. That and it'll be my first VERY long distance trip in the ol girl ! ~Z~
  12. Put me down also as a fan of Green . If your interior's Black you can accent those colors with the Red's of a Rally Clock! Unless you prefer all Black . ~Z~
  13. I got a Datsun Rally jacket from Australia, looking for one from the UK. Like from the Works Rally Teams. If i find a BRE one i'll let you know. What size you need? Remember Vintage sizes are different today, a size smiller i think thanks to fast food. ~ Z~
  14. Last batch of parts arrived this morning! Should fire Monday! Still need brakes fore i can drive still , going with stock, and "WingZr0 Spec" ANSA hung on the, "biggest exhaust possible", according to Dean . ~Z~

  16. Jsut a heads up I'm going to attempt to fab some ANSA Twin Stacks using NOS ANSA Parts. If anyone is interested, JUST INTERESTED AT ONLY AT LEAST, please let me know if you like. Doing a set for me and another member aswell. Take a look here to see what I'm working with... http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/member.php?u=13541&vmid=538#vmessage538 Since my PM's are backing up it'll be best to call me for more info. 530.701.1244 ~Z~

  21. More NEWS More NEWS These parts will arrive Friday says MSA 1~ 4 row radiator, the natural finish aluminum one was sold out 2~ Chrome electric fan 3~ 5 injector "Z POLE" connectors 4~ steering rack dust boots, YEA! 5~ K&N cold air intake 6~ shifter bushings to fix the binding in the shifter linkage 7~ Shifter bushing inner dust boot covere, the little round joy stick shaped kind under the inner shift boot. 8~ Shift cover, the shoe lace styler 9~ Trottle boot for the fire wall 10~ Master Poly Urethane bushing kit, all but the bump stops. And just bought "1" red 2 1/4 inch inlet and outlet Thrush Glasspack at the local speed shop, its like a old comic book place for cars , to replace the Midas muffler I threw out. I know I know, a new ANSA set is on it's way Next on the list is the Lacara MK4 steering wheel discussed else where on the forums. One thing I need help on is finding a TPS, Trottle Position Sensor, 3 prong connector plug. You know, the plug that goes into the TPS itself and the cover for it. Tried Courtesy and MSA and both said the only way to get that plug is to buy a whole new wireing harness or take off another Z as the plug by itself and cover is NLA or just not sold . If any one has a spare of any of these please let me know and I can send Paypal as well. My number is 530-701-1244 since I'll be on a train trip for the next three days. Now I almost sprung for the short throw shifter kit cause it comes with everthing to replace all the shift rods and related stuff but heard it was more stiffer than stock and felt I only need new bushings to fix the shifter binding issues. Any opinions on weather I need more than shifter bushings for this problem? Get the short throw? Any help apreciated and thyanx again to all so far for your help these last XXXXXX amount of years ~Z~
  22. At least it still runs now concentrat on more important things, like rims
  23. Turns out the camera didn't die, this computer I'm using don't want to upload pics to here or photo bucket  I'll start a new thread for this new girl soon as I can get the pics up, but heres what I know so far. Anyway theeres so much more to this story than I'm letting on so far. The Owner is a pretty cool guy and was apriciative of how I conducted myself during this business deal to say the least. I'll say the most and other things later, but.... No rust on under carrage, frame fails or unit body parts far as I can see so far Only rust is surface rust where the paint has chiped away at, which is not much at all, easy fix during repaint. Car was originally a San Diego Z and has been in Racerville for the last 15 years with same owner during that time. All new suspension work, tie rods, brakes and stuff with reciepts for $1600 worth of stuff done just befor the car was parked in 2005. California Blue Plates as
