  1. DAMN ! It looks nice, from what i can see on this cellphone. Engine may be heavy but long as the suspension is up to task i don't see the problem. What suspension would you need anyway for something like that?
  2. Yep, Dean Nakatsu at NAKATSU'S GARAGE 530-632-2761 in Yuba City, CA . $588 for machine work and $700 for assembly work plus the price of parts i could provide myself . I used a rebuilt head off Ebay no machine work on that which saved some change.
  3. Might wanna check the strut that holds it up too, see it works rightly.
  4. If the hinges ain't rusted then I suggest you have to use the MAN UP KIT . Lift that thing up and knock it loose by tapping from the underside.
  5. $1,600 to $2,000 on average. Cost me 1,600 though to rebuild my 77 L28 and thats installed.
  6. Good show old fellow good show performance cam, good choice.
  7. MEZZZ if your 77 and my 77 are same as FastWomans 12/77 1978 Z having the two tie down knobs, than why the gap with my 11/77 build date 1978 Z with a flat floor and all interior panels and flush mounted carpet?
  8. It's tough staying green with paper bags in a Z . My `77 is 10/76 and the `78 is 11/77 still flat floor. Maybe your floor was switched for a `77. Does the carpet sit flush against the interior side panels? Do you have a interior tail light panel under the floor board hidden?
  9. Heh Sarah you might try DRIVETRAIN.COM They sell rebuild kits for transmissions and may for Differentials too. Don't have the printout list of parts on hand but they're located in Vegas. And prices reasonable if you need a source for the parts.
  10. I have a 77 which i believe is one year only styled hatch floor. If it's the same as what your talking about, the carpeted side of the hatch, works just fine for me. Though my 78 is flat. What you hauling anyway, boxes?
  11. You knew this didn't ya Such a site would have an affect! Lost passanger side Z spinners and a thread tower on Ruby not long after buying her. Then found set of 1960's Fenton three bar spinners with the square holes on ebay without the towers. Been looking since. even tried OE suppliers. REALLY HARD to find as the spinners ain't been seen again. Nice polish BTW.
  12. You tha MAN Arne! You tha MAN . Funny, i was looking at the Rev-Tec banner on Ira's blue Z on page 45 August '09 of Grass Roots Motorsports when i saw this. Amazing they had the dies all these years.
  13. CaliCar, how'd you find this site? ! In the AKHwheels.com , this place is STACKED ! ! Finally I can get thread towers for my Fenton Spiner caps. Tons of rims too .
  14. I'm going with Arne guys. Figured a D when i found #1678 not knowing it meant appliance. Still await the logo pics Arne
  15. Ooo. . . Convex slots, those are new. And sic . Thats the logo i saw though.
  16. Did you check for a clog somewhere in hoses and fuel sails? A pinched hope?
  17. Isn't that fancy "A" actually a "D" for Datsun on it's side? Never seen the Appliance logo but seen the "D" on wire wheels on a Yellow Z owned by Mr. K and turbine wheels on HLS30-01678 owned by my friend.
  18. Love that color combonation. Is that the factory Lime Light or repaint? And he it was you who stashed it away how is it a barn find . Hope to see it on the road and don't forget the LSD for that baby . ~Z~
  19. Those the ones i'm thinking of. Sold mind for 130 plus, good thing, i needed the money to buy my Z which came with the same plate . There was a guy selling 20 NOS ones for 25 bucks a year ago or so. Like Arne and i say prices very well as styles, just keep your eye out.
  20. If all else fails call Carl Jeager at 604 728 4365 he has your NOS parts.
  21. Ebay, vintage ones'll turn up. Don't know which styles or when but they'll turn up.
  22. Automatics aren't my bag and i love Orange cars, they're like popsicles , I 'd change it over to a 4spd and call it a life.
  23. The fuseable link covers from MSA are crap. Bought some about a year and half ago, drove 25 miles then parked at the race shop where it sat outside with the hood down. Went to look at the engine bay last month and noticed they were cracked, went to pick up one of them and it broke up like egg shells well as the other one. Granted i'm in NorCal and it's been 2 summers but what ever you do make sure those things are covered.
  24. Solid start on your 70! Those rims should clean up nicely with that color and with a muscle car rake. Any planes or a color change?
  25. . Take it those are repros? MSA nos panels are mostly NLA. Black Dragon sells the other interior trim bits too like the headliner strips and such? Like to turn my '78 into red and black.
