That should win an Addy or two (advertising's Grammy). I like Honda's when people use them for what they are...... great, economical, dependable and somewhat sporty cars. I don't like the $10,000 Neons with $10,000 worth of mods.:stupid:
  2. I remember that Clinton fall. he was probably chasing some bimbo down the stairs or too stoned to walk upright. If I remember correctly he sprainged (sp?) his ankle. Too bad he didn't hurt himself more.
  3. I'll throw ZwolleY a little support for being brave enough to claim Carter as a good President. He wasn't a "bad" one. His only mistake was not surrounding himself with people that were strong in areas where he was weak. At least he has set a good moral tone and a strong work ethic for people to look upto. We'll never have a President that can be all things to all people or that can do everything right (If only Reagan was still able to be President :classic: ). As far as trading Joe for Jenny... I'll take Jenny as long as she never talks... Man is she annoying sometimes!
  4. I think her "enlargements" got so big she floated away......
  5. I hope you are not calling slick willy the only good President (or even A good one at that. With the Military blunders and failures he was responsible for set aside, he was not a good President for one thing: He taught our Children that sex isn't always sex. I think he honestly believes whatever happend between him and women other than his wife was not sex........ he touted it, went on TV, in Newspapers, and Magazines saying that what he did was not sex. On top of that he taught that it is ok to lie about things. And for that he should be deemed the worst President in history. We don't even have to wait for the books to be written to know that kids have taken his philosophy that sex isn't sex if you don't do certain things. I appreciate that he MAY have done some good. The bad that he did IN MY OPINION far outweighs anything "good" that he may have done. With that said, Flame me at will. I tried like hell to stay away from this thread, but like a bad car wreck, I couldn't take my eyes off it and now I'm caught in the middle. Yes I am a right wing, gun carrying, probably naming my first son Walker after the President conservative citizen of the United States of America. Oh and yes I was named after Eisenhower :classic:

I just set the TIVO to record and 2 shows came up. They are probably the same show but who knows. The first is on Friday morning at 8PST and it is part of the "Voyages" series. The one you mentioned was just listed under Automobiles.

Zguy, Sorry to hear about your loss.... we had to do the same to Daisy a year ago next week for the same reason (She was only 3). It sucks because they can't tell us what's wrong with them and we have to make the hard decisions. I do have to say that I'm glad you (and I) made the decision to do what had to be done. It pisses me off when people don't do it and the animal ends up suffering for a long time.

Asking price????? my oh my this is gonna be a nice find for someone.
  9. Sounds like you've been busy! You should post some pics to the gallery for us :classic: My short answer to your question would be yes replace them. But it really depends on what you are doing. Do you want to get the car running and have it be a daily driver/project car? Then wait until you are ready to do them. If your trying to get it to the point where you can drive it and only have to worry about regular maintanence issues, then do it right away. With it sitting for so long I'd be concerned about dry rot.
  10. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't the bulbs have 2 seperate filaments in them? One for the blinkers and another for the flashers? (sounds like most of us here, blinkers and flashers ) It could be as simple as the bulb if that is the case.

My home page is set to a little website called www.240z.org you may have heard of it before. The website has some cool people with a ton of knowledge on it.

    I do now!
  13. wow. did you feel that, I think the world stopped moving. Carl and I agree on something Yeah the gas prices are outta control and they should be coming down a lot faster than they are I haven't noticed a drop yet here in the Arizona Desert). The oil companies have ALWAYS played this game of jacking the prices as soon as they can but not dropping them until the lower priced stuff hits the pump........... IT has nothing to do with Who is President, it happend during Carter, Clinton and just about every President since the invention of the gas using automobile. Carl I think you and I should start protestingthe gas prices!
  14. :classic: It's nice to have a couple of people on this side of the fence! It does come to mind that I haven't mentioned that I'm glad we don't all share the same opinion. It would be a scary world if we did. I'm also glad we are comfortable in sharing those opinions. :classic:
  15. ** after typing this up, I've read it, stared at it and almost deleted it but here it is I should have avoided this until I've had a chance to relax from work** Sean (everyone) Leave the crap about telling me that smoking is bad for you to the liberal freaks that not only want freedom to do as they want but also the freedom to tell everyone what, when, where, why and how they can do what they want (the majority of those same people would legalize marijuana in a heartbeat). Honestly, I've had enough of that am just about ready to exercise my right to bear arms so I can commit unspeakable acts against the next person that tells me I'm gonna die from my 2 or 3 Cohiba Robusto cigars that I smoke per week. For what it's worth I used to chew a little over a can of Skoal tobacco on a daily basis. I quit because I decided I wanted to quit, not because my wife nagged me about it or the "pukey, smelly, disgusting habit" commercials. With that said...the "anti-smoking" idealogy is another topic that should be left out of here. I don't think they are looking for the weapons or he factories to justify the war to the world. I believe that when the war is done, the naysayers will be proven wrong. I also believe that the naysayers should be left out of profiting from the end result in any way shape or form.... Don't get m wrong Ihave already said, I don't want a "Little America" I want the citizens of the country to decide what type of Government they want. As far as the US killing British soldiers and Blair having to pull out because of this........ Most people accept that these accidents are unfortunate and unavoidable. I do believe, however, that any soldier commiting acts that have the intent to kill or injure civillians or soldiers on the same side should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Joe Galloway..... Whatever., you see it your way, I'll see it mine. Personally, I don't care who likes me and who doesn't, Personally and as a country. Excuse me if this gets a little rude... I'm sick and tired of everyone claiming that thish is about oil......... It is about a Dictator and his "regime" of bandits who see fit to allow terrorists to train in his country, who offers $25,000 (or somewhere in that ballpark) to any family who offers up a member to go on a suicide bombing mission that kills civillans, who kills his own people if they so much as mention publicly that they don't like his ways and who agrees not to accumulate certain weapons. Maybe for the French the war is about the possibilty of loosing whatever special oil or weapons deals you guys have but that isn't the story on this side. We get a minimal amount of our oil from there, it isn't worth it for the oil. Yeah yeah yeah we've moved west and want to take over the world........ I'm sick of that one as well, just because we broke down the wall, brought a great peaceful end to the cold war and would like to make the world a better place we are horrible people........... Then why in the hell do so many people in this world stop at nothing to either move here or be like us. If we are so horrid let everyone stay home. Of course the Russians feared everyone more than the Americans, thats why we were in the proverbial arms race with them! (sarcasm intended). With that said, I'm going to go smoke a cigar, drive like a bat out of hell for a while, and drink my whiskey straight from the bottle! Or maybe just watch tv for a bit.
  16. That's it, I'm putting a sign up on the house and moving...... I just paid $1.89 for 87 octane (1.95 plus at most stations)....... I'm only driving the Z on Saturdays right now because she takes the expensive stuff and that is over $2.00 in some places around here.

Mark, It's looking nice............. even giving me some motivation! Keep up with the site so we can watch the progress. Dwight
  18. I smoke 2-3 cigars a week......... ussually when I need to get out out of the real world and day dream....... I go for a walk while I do it so that cancels the bad effects out (I am kidding). My wife actually likes the smell of cigars but since she is pregnant, I won't smoke around her.
  19. Carl, My comment about not letting the French profit was half scarcastic. I do think those that support the actions, should be the ones to help rebuild (yeah it is profitable in rebuilding but it won't cover the cost of the war). I also don't want another country molded after ours....... Yes we are a great Nation but the world needs different flavors, let the citizens decide what they want once the Dictatorship is gone. But since France is already crying about not letting the US have a say in the rebuild effort..... well, you can imagine what I could say. Bush has already said that he would prefer the UN handle the rebuilding. sigh......... I think I'm going to retire from this thread, I feel like it is going round and round.... and we only really need one thread going on this subject. I'm off to smoke a cigar (in this free country, I can't do that in my own house ) and contemplate things........ with that I want to leave all of you with an interesting email I rec'd this week (it it all fits) I just copied and pasted it so ignore the marks: > > > Provided by Joe Galloway, author of We Were Soldiers and is an > > item of possible interest. > > > > This one is definitely NOT tongue in cheek. 20. Ok, I've spent the last hour or so searching for a list of who was voting for what and can't find one..... Before it was decided that they wouldn't go to the UN for a final vote they had the 9 votes needed but didn't ask for the vote because of the French veto. As of yesterday over 40 nations had thrown in support for the operation. I've gotten this info by watching BOTH Msnbc and Fox news (covering both the left and right slant). I agree that more countries should be offering support by way of troops, humanitarian relief, etc but they aren't, oh well. Maybe we should just not let them profit from the reconstuction efforts.
  21. Go it alone????? Excuse me, maybe I'm just an ignorant right wing redneck idiot but there were more supporters before the attacks started than those countries that were against it. Now that it has begun, even more countries have jumped on the bandwagon. Bush did try diplomacy. Maybe some people wish we would kiss Sadam's arse for another couple of years, but what good would it do? Sadam would never surrender or submit and give up his toys. Sorry for the rant, I realize that I may not be the most "educated" person on the board but I'm sick of people saying that the US is doing this on our own. Yes, maybe Bush was the one to start pushing for support and maybe he was the initial instigator, but if the support from other countries hadn't been there from the beggining, we wouldn't be where we are now.
  22. yessiree, very good in deed!
  23. I love all these comments and at this point I want to say 2 things: 1. No matter how you feel, pray to whatever God you choose (or take a moment of silence) for the safety of ALL involved (ok, with the exception of the TRUE enemy). 2. My pegnant wife has a message board for "hormonal pregnant women" and let me tell you...... they are no where as civilized as we are, this subject has been a catfight over on that board. Since I asked the first question, I want to thank everyone for sharing their pinions and not assaulting anyone for their opinion. I am in agreement of what is going on.. if you have family or friends involved, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
  24. Carl, I guess we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one. But while I'm here I'm going to take a cheap shot...Your State citizens re-elected the man responsible for the energy crisis you guys had. IMHO Take it tongue in cheek, because thats the way I meant it.
  25. Since I started this I'll chime in and get on my soapbox, then I'll duck and cover Saddam is a huge threat to everyone. Not because he has "weapons of mass destruction" but because of what he supports and what he allows to happen in his country. The training of individuals that are brainwashed into committing acts such as suicide bombing places not only on this side of the pond but all over the world is in my opinion much worse than a little Korean man that everybody is watching. We already have the ability to fight any kind of nuclear weapon that North Korea could afford and I'm sure they will be taken care of in due time. Yes war does cause undue casualties, but so do acts of terrorism....... in much worse ways. And yes "Dubya" is an oil man but thank the good Lord he has bigger balls than our last President. Sean.... I think the "reserves" you are speaking of are the amounts of oil off our shores and in Alaska that the environmentalist wacko's wont let us drill for........ I'm getting off my soapbox now so I don't offend any more people than I already have. Just remember we all have our own opinions.
