datsun 510 harness routing

Featured Replies

I need some help!! Cody's under hood harness is not routed properly. Can some of you guys post up some pictures of the correct harness routing under the hood? I have done some looking online but can't find any good images to help...

Thanks

Anything specific you’re wondering about or just general layout?

Just general layout. Right now his harness comes up the passenger side and across the front but it doesn't seem long enough. So somehow we have it routed wrong. A diagram or some pictures would help a lot...

I have looked on Google images some but most of those 510's seem to be modified or you can't see the layout.

Not the prettiest sight but it might answer some questions for you. The surge tank on the strut tower is an add-on.

No, that's a good start!

So it goes down under the battery, then where? Under the radiator? Then across to the coil?

Yep. By the time it gets past the alternator you’re just dealing with a few wires for lights and coil.

As you’d said before, the wiring runs across the frame under the radiator. There should be brackets, although not all have survived through the years.

Excellent, Cody is gonna go work on it now..

Note that dust, leaves, etc. are optional add-ons to enhance patina and ambiance only. Uh huh.
