I'm going to remove the stock factory exhaust header to install an aftermarket header. Do I have to remove the intake manifold?

 

 

yeah you should as you will need a new gasket, the intake manifold and exhaust manifold share the same gasket.

Besides, it gives you the opportunity to clean up an area of the engine that is almost impossible when everything is attached.
