hmmm... clever fitment, but i'm thinking it won't be very visible from the driver's seat. maybe the fuel gauge, but i believe the volt meter will be obscured.

I agree. O would miss the fresh air too much too....but I saw it on an autocross racers page and thought it was worth sharing none the less.

I never use that vent. Removed the plastic piece in the engine bay and stuck a rag in the tube, to get more cool air to the carbs. When I tried to use that vent, on a July trip through the desert, it just blew hot air anyway. Probably tougher than it looks to get the gauge sitting in there properly, though.

In my "new" 240z this was mounted:
