ok z running like a time bomb and trans is really sticky

Featured Replies

ok i know why im sounding like a singer sewing machine. but my trans is really hard to shift and rev is grinding so im asking if i need my other trans box from home or can this be fixed with a simple ajustment?:ermm:

Sounds like a clutch problem. Does the car want to creep when it's in gear with your foot on the clutch?

silvey19k, the symptoms you are talking about is exactly what my car did for about 3 weeks before the master cylinder for the clutch went bad. I am going to replace all the parts the master the slave and the hose on the car this weekend.

You can see the discussion in this thread. Here

You can try bleeding/flushing the clutch with new fluid. I always shift into 3rd and then quickly into reverse to prevent the grinding.

Hard 2 shift = clutch not fully disengaging. IS typically a lot worse on reverse and can cause grinding. Throw a new slave cylinder at it for $20 or less, bleed it good, 20 minute job tops, and if that still doesn't fix it, rebuild your master.
