im guessing i need to get the whole thing regrind or jusr the cam and go with some new stuff

I would put all new rockers and have someone show you how to adjust valve lash. I would guess he didn't do it correctly......that's my best guess. Good Luck

The gouge on your cam looks like it's on the base circle so it won't have any pressure on it, and most likely won't cause further damage.

Although, in your pictures it looks like the lash might have been tight on a few lobes. The base circles are shiny like they've had the rocker arms riding tight on them.

Just a couple more observations.

On second thought, where's there's a dent, there will be displaced, raised, metal.

Make sure that the area around the dent doesn't have a raised edge that would wear the rocker arm and screw up your lash measurements. You're in uncharted territory. Some very careful work with a whetstone might do the trick.

yea i was thinking about that and im going to see if thats a issue if not its going together and im going to buy new things anyway but if it is the z will just be down

well put it back together and broke one of the cam bolts in the middle high side dose anybody know the tq on those so i dont screw anymore up once i get that one out

any ideas on how or should i just find a n47 to replace it

Sivey19k.......I hope you were better with an M16 than an N47LOL. My advice......Get someone else to do your motor work.....you're just not having much luck. Good Luck
