hey guys. Quick rookie question: What tools are needed to adjust the valves on a 78? I already have a socket set, and screwdrivers. This will be my first time. Thanks!

You need:

To adjust valves:

Feeler gauge set

14mm open-end wrench

17mm open-end wrench

To remove valve cover:

10mm socket and ratchet

To turn engine:

25mm socket and ratchet

or

27mm socket, (varies with year)

You can turn also the engine by putting the trans in 4th or 5th gear and pushing the car a bit.
