Moto Posted April 26, 2011 Share #1 Posted April 26, 2011 Does anyone out there know of, or have experienced any clearance issues using the four piston calipers from the 4runnner brake upgrade. The one that uses the wider vented rotors. I'm planning on using 15X7 Konig Rewinds (not sure of the offset)

Diseazd Posted April 29, 2011 Share #3 Posted April 29, 2011 Willwoods require a little grinding on the front control arms for clearance. They have thick rotors also.
Moto Posted May 4, 2011 Author Share #4 Posted May 4, 2011 I'm concerned about clearance issues with the 4runner caliper hitting the hub section of the wheel.
clayton 260z Posted May 5, 2011 Share #5 Posted May 5, 2011 I run the 4runner calipers on my 260, had to change to 240 hubs and I run Pannasports with +6 offset with no problems.
Murph Posted May 17, 2011 Share #6 Posted May 17, 2011 I have the 15x7 konig rewinds with the "S13" hilux 4 pots with the vented rotor and the clearance is tight, but ok.I'm not 100% sure on the specifics of the setup though, as it was all done by the prev. owner of the car. Marty Rogan Posted May 17, 2011 Share #7 Posted May 17, 2011 Does anyone out there know of, or have experienced any clearance issues using the four piston calipers from the 4runnner brake upgrade. The one that uses the wider vented rotors. I'm planning on using 15X7 Konig Rewinds (not sure of the offset)I ran that exact set up for several years. I had to grind down the calipers a bit. It did not cause any problems.Marty
Moto Posted May 20, 2011 Author Share #8 Posted May 20, 2011 Yeah I just installed the new calipers, and sure enough the side of of the calipers hit the the inside face of the Konigs. I'm considering finding a shop with an endmill to machine the calipers down a bit. I can't bring myself to take a grinder to them.
