there are a pair of snap fasteners on the bottom of my interior door vinyl. they are on each door. what were they for ? 12/70 240Z thanks, timsz

Mine has the original screws with countersunk plastic washers, maybe the snaps were added?

You may be correct H4. My '70 has screws, too.

Post a picture, but it sounds like they aren't original. Maybe an aftermarket pocket added to the door panel?

The only thing I can think of is a door pocket I have seen on the rallye cars used to hold maps. I wouldn't necessarily call that installation "aftermarket" but it would not be considered stock production.
