I've done my search on the internet and this site also- and I could not locate this question.

Depends. The earliest of the 260's had a similar front fender as the 240, so there is an indentation for the wrap around bumper. The later 260's had the same bumper as the 280. The doors are plug and play.

I'm pretty sure there was a change in the doors somewhere between the early 260 and the 77 280Z. I know the door lock buttons are in different locations but I think the strikers and latches are different which would prevent them from being 'plug and play'.

1977-78 280z door latches are different from earlier models.

Doors are all the same 70-76 except for more steel inside the later versions.

All S30 fenders are interchangeable (70-78). Doors (70-76) can be made to fit but you may need to swap out inner door parts. Doors (77-78) are a different breed. See more info here:

I knew it was something like that. I didn't know the exact year of the change but I knew a 74 door won't work on a 77.

That's cool- thanks for all the information.. trying to get my options in a row, have to take care of the body before the winter sets in. The fenders are nice on this 74, and probably pretty cheap too. I'm driving down tomorrow to take a look at the donor car. My interior is in great shape, and I'd hate to throw that original look out- so I may work with what I have 'cos I don't have the place to fabricate.
