L20 with a E30. not a 2.8L

So .. time to stroke the 2.8L.. Nope.. its a L20 engine.. now what?

i think im just going to keep this engine and clean it up.. but finding parts for the L20 is not easy.. i need injecters.. and a head gasket..and possibly other gaskets and seals aswell depending on how indepth i go.. How and where can i find these parts? can i use 2.8 injecters? what upgrades can i do to this engine and head.. i know this head is a decent one for what i got.. i just need a good port and polish.. but still a 2.0 is disapointing..

i want a 3.1L stroker but odviously i need to go shoping for a good block and head now..

also .. if i run a 3.1L stroker .. keep the fuel injection or go to carbs?

Ideas and advice would be vary helpfull!

Hi bigjohnson:

I believe you really have an L20A or L20E {fuel injected} not an L20. So when you are looking for parts, gaskets etc - make sure you specify L20A or L20E. You should be able to get many if not most of the parts from the Nissan Parts Dept.

Nonetheless - if you want to build a stroker, start with a good L28, you should be able to find one fairly inexpensively. Put the L20A / L20E on e-bay, you might find a buyer for it.

He probably means "Fairlady Z" rather than Fairlady the convertible.

keep the rods for your stroker build man,same as L24 rods....173mm IIRC?
