Any opinions? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1973-Datsun-240z-Coupe-Z-Series-Yellow-Lime_W0QQitemZ330356069723QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item4ceac1955b&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245

No A/c is a negative but I like the looks of the car and I live 10 miles from the location.Wonder why the guy just bought it and now wants to sell.

Is this year xempt from the Calif Smog? I know the 72's are.

Looks like it has rust on the door and quarters. I'd arrange to look at it first. Probably needs body repairs and a re-paint. Figure another $5,000 to $8,000 for professional repair.

Interior looks pretty nice. Could pull the engine prior to paint and clean it up while the rest of the car is at the body shop.

just from the pics it looks to be a great deal.only bad thing is the flat tops. if u can inspect it yourself all the better. oh yea, the color is my favourite! :)

LOL completely original not un molested LOL cracks me up. so does the picture with the 666 inverted cross

I am suspect of the body work in this car. Just doesn't look right. It does still appear to have all the dimples in the rear wheel arches. That's a plus. I would definitely go see it in person though if it were me.

the front bumper guards are on upside down.

1975 and earlier do no have to be smogged in Cali.

The resreve $6400. Do you guys think a 73 in this condition is worth that? In the sellers own words it "did not meet reserve first time".

I highly suggest going to look, especially if you are that close. These cars are very decieving in photos, take my word for it :(

Rims are rusty, doors look suspect and those are obvious flaws. Overall, not a bad presentation but it needs a much closer review.

The bottom of the front left fender looks bent from improper jacking.

I'm selling my car for $1000 less and I think it's in as good or better condition. My paint is rough, but the under carriage is way cleaner.

Good luck to the guy selling it - if he can get that, he's a better man than me I guess...
