L28 pistons on L24 Rods & Crank

Featured Replies

I'm hip to that but he was talking about putting L28 slugs in a L24 block..........

According to ITM, there is no more .020 in USA, i got the last set, it could be wrong, who knows, have you asked ?

If it is okay for you with dished, then i have a set .030, all new with rings.

Chris

I believe that Thrasher had ask about Forged Pistons and did you buy 0.020" (0.5mm) L24 or L28 pistons?

FWIW,

Forged pistons, i over looked that point, isn't that overkill with a build like that.

I did buy L24 pistons .020.

I thought it was the lack of avalability of L24 pistons that made Trasher look for L28's

Chris

Hi Chris:

When he said forged pistons and then reduced compression - I thought that he may be thinking of going to a turbo in the future..

FWIW,

Carl B.

I bought my pistons at www.classicgarage.com, for a good price and very fast service.

They are .030 over for $254.00 they come with new rings, piston pin.

I know you are looking for another set up.
