Posted March 22, 200916 yr comment_278519 I am trying to identify early front bumper brackets, the ones I took off my car are obviously homemade or from some other vehical. Since I am at my office today I can't check my club cd, I have searched here w/o result.Do they look like this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-240Z-Front-Bumper-Brackets-260Z-280Z-NICE_W0QQitemZ190294108613QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item190294108613&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318#ebayphotohostingOr are they different?Best,H Houghton Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31265-early-front-bumper-brackest-must-id/ Share on other sites
March 22, 200916 yr comment_278521 The ones in that auction are for '73 only. The '70-72 are much simpler. Looks like 62656-E4102 and 62657-E4102 are the numbers. March 22, 200916 yr Author comment_278523 Thats what I was thinking because the ones that came off are basic L bends. but were the wrong length and didn't reach the back bolt holes Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31265-early-front-bumper-brackest-must-id/#findComment-278523 Share on other sites

March 22, 200916 yr Author comment_278525 Holy cow,The ones I removed are like one inch steel bent and drilled and the part that bolts inside the body inside the headlight buckets were so short they only reached the first set of bolt holes and homeboy drilled an extra in front of the first hole and set a bolt. Those in the picture actually look like they were designed! March 22, 200916 yr comment_278529 Just make sure you have the right bumper, some say that a -73 bumper won't fit the ealy brackets, still i hope they will, thous i like to try it out:classic:.The one on the photo might be up for sale, ask zsondabrain if he still have them;).Chris Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31265-early-front-bumper-brackest-must-id/#findComment-278529 Share on other sites
