what goes bad on a shock is it the o rings cuz i can replace the o rings is there something in there like oil or something that evaporates

John, seeing that you have asked a lot of questions today, have you tried the "Search" button?? It can come in pretty handy when you use it right.

As old as your Z may be, might be time to upgrade to a good set of KYB's, Koni's, or any of the other aftermarket struts inserts that are readily available from many vendors here on the site. Like MotorSport Auto. ( www.zcarparts.com )

Dave.

they just wear out! Just replace them with KYB G-2s after 37 years do you think you are the first one to need new struts? How many times are you going to ask the same question?

Ok got my answer I just thot it would help the value of the car if it had the originale struts

Only if it's a ridiculously low production number, and all #'s match.

But Dave is right, please use the 'Search' feature of these forums before asking so many questions. You've repeated many of them in multiple posts and they are quite hard to decipher. If you slow down and spend a bit more time reading, and thinking out the questions you'll find a lot more help and information.

Welcome to the board.
