Anyway my 73 240 was in mph, I changed it over to kph. I thought it was odd as my first car[V6 capri] had both calibration, mph on the outside & kph inside.

Hi Mike,

How did you do this, by only changing the speedo?

Or had you more to do. And is it still acquired?

I'm asking this because my US import has mph but here in Europe we drive kph.

I own a 73 240z which was not an imported car as far as I know. The speedo is in yes MPH not KP/H. The change came with the 74 260z which was all in Km/pH.

This applies to AUS only I believe.

Gav,

As I've mentioned above, I've got a guage that looks the same as the 240Z one but is in Kph. If you've got a photo of yours ( or anyone does) I'll post a photo of what we've got and then we can see if a direct swap is possible?

I'm looking to sell this speedo as I don't need a second speedo that has no zero, but it would suit the originality of a 240z

R.

I can't understand the problems some are experiancing on this topic!

If you want to convert to KPH, simply find a 260Z [or a 2+2] and pull the speedo, it's a STRAIGHT swap.

So if I got it right you can’t swap a speedo mph 240Z into a kph 240Z.

You have to use a kph 260Z against a mph 240Z.

But why a 260Z?? Any idea… :stupid:
