And all this time I thought towel day was on the 42 seconds into the 42nd day of the fourty second year after The first edition of the HHGTG was written and translated into 42 different languages...I think I'll go wrap my head with a wet towel...and contemplate the vast hugeness of the universe of the volume of rust one Z can contain...

For the past few years, Towel Day has settled on May 25th. This date was selected - appropriately enough - for no discernible reason.
