Shauna is a show car and has won several trophies. She's been sitting for awhile so my dad and I are fixing her up and were wondering about shows in the Northern California area. I'd love to get her back out there but I've been talking to people and a lot of them are saying most main shows are American made only... no imports.

I think there is a Nissan show coming up this month down your way . I live in Oregon so it isn't one I am planning on going to . I am sure you will get the info from someone here on the web site . Welcome to our club. I think what you are saying is true about not being accepted . However times are a-changing. Our club was invited to the Portland Custom and Roadster show . Which has been all American cars . The club display took a 2nd place and four out of five of our cars were awarded trophies . With the cost of customising or building a Hot rod being what they are now , not many people want to tie up 100,000.00 on a show car . They are realizing that they need new blood . they don't accept the ''Ricers'' and unfortunately our Z cars are often painted with the same brush . At least up here we are accepted . Gary

I don't know if you've already done so, but you may want to consider joining a Z car club in your area. They should have lots of info on upcoming shows where your beautiful Z will be welcomed. Plus, you'll have the fun of cruises and other social events with like-minded Z lovers. Welcome aboard.

Isn't there a show at Blackhawk every year?

Search for info on the ZONC organization. Z Owners of Northern CA or somesuch.

Keep checking with the Z Owners of Northern California www.zonc.org for information about the Blackhawk all Nissan show. I think it's June 7th this year. It's held in the parking lot of the Blackhawk auto museum which is great to check out and my wife and daughters like the ritzy mall next door.

Who sponsors the show in July at Mt. Shasta? It seems to typically be fairly early in the month.
