does any body know of any aftermarket in dash tach's that will fit into the 240 dash . i have bought two 280z tachs as they say in the conversion manual for the chevy v8 swap and cant get either of them to work good so i hope to find a aftermarket that will fit in the hole and mount .any ideas?

I have one of the smaller large autometer tachs in my 280z, but the mounting is a bit.....questionable.....I'm not sure what the exact model number is, but it's a Sport comp tachometer. It looks ok in there, but I'm trying to do all digital behind tinted plexi now so I don't know if it's going to be permanent. Defi makes a heads up display (or used to, anyway) for a reasonable price that I've thought about many times.

just did a quick search, here you go: http://www.optionsauto.com/prodinfo.asp?number=DEFI-03206

  • 5 months later...

are available in 5" tach and speedo and the 2,5/8" units fit the smaller binacle.
