I am in need of a mounting ring for the shift boot used on 72 to 78? Zcars. I believe it has 4 holes to attach the boot to the floor pan. I can't seem to find them in parts catalogs. My 5 speed shifter doesn't work right with the original 71 shift boot so I'm going to use the later type, but I also need the mounting ring. Any help would be appreciated.

Might keep an eye out on eBay. I see them on there from time to time....Someone here might have a spare that they would be willing to sell you as well...

My memory may be failing but I thought it had more like 8 holes.

Mike, I believe she does only have four holes, and they are not laid out wit too much symetry as I recall.

Ok, perhaps I'm thinking of the outer shift boot. Doesn't it have 8 clips to hold it to the console?
