Bumpers

Featured Replies

Hey,

I was wondering if there is a source for new chrome bumpers for my 73 240z. The bumper align guys want 600.00 each to straighten and recrome. There has to be a better source for these things. Any help.

I tried Motorsport, but the entire package without the overriders is over 1k. They are also the European style.

TIA

Chuck

Black Dragon Auto has the front bumper bar, not sure about the corners though. I don't think there are any US style rear bumper replacements.

Because of State and Fed. regulations lots of chroming places closed. It will not be cheap. Check this place out......http://www.zcarsource.com/carparts.htm

Hey thanks for the link , I have been looking for a new center rear bumper section :)

Yeah,

That is more expensive than redoing mine. Thanks for the link though.

I don't know if this will help, but...

I recall years ago my dad was restoring an MG (TD, I think-he had several).

Rather than spend an incredible amount on a replacement bumper from Abingdon, he went to the local Community College, spoke with the Auto Shop director and had the bumper refurbish/rechroming done by students on campus for a very reasonable rate (free or cheap). He also had the block dipped by them and several things machined.

Just a suggestion, might be worth checking out.
