Posted May 24, 200619 yr comment_168649 When I started my front cover removal I neglected to take pictures knowing that I would remember how to reassemble the different parts that I removed. Wrong. I have looked through all of my manuals and can find no reference to the location of the bracket that I removed. I have since taken pictures of all steps that I now take in removing different engine parts. Which leaves me with the bracket. I don't know where it goes. I have attached a picture of the bracket. Can somebody clue me in on where it goes? Thanks.. Clueless in Pomona. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20175-mysterious-bracket/ Share on other sites
May 24, 200619 yr comment_168650 Gotta be a Bracket for the A/C unit I'd guess....although it dosen't look like anything I've ever removed. GL,YMMV Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20175-mysterious-bracket/#findComment-168650 Share on other sites
May 24, 200619 yr comment_168652 I agree. It doesn't appear to be a factory Datsun/Nissan part. Perhaps a lower mount support for an A/C compressor? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20175-mysterious-bracket/#findComment-168652 Share on other sites
May 24, 200619 yr comment_168689 Randy, Got your PM. I'll look and see if I see something similar around my AC compressor. Just realized how close our 2 cars are. Both with 2/71 builds and only 267 cars apart. Mine was sold new in FL.
