Featured Replies

Well, after 8 years of looking I found A real rust free 240Z.

Now let the fun start.

I just put the motor back in a few days ago now and just orderd her A 8 point cage. Then out for paint.

I have had three vettes in the past and sold my last vette just to get the extra $$$$ to do this 240Z the way it should be done.

Now to pick A color.

Why not just clearcoat the brushed steel bodywork? Give it that old aircraft look..?

Hey, if carguyinok just clear coats his '73 over bright metal he could designate it a P-40Z. All that's missing is a Merlin 12 cylinder engine and machine guns.LOL

There we go. That would be so much fun. I will start looking on

e-bay for the gun. lmao ROFL

:finger: license and registration please... holy S#@* (pulls his gun) what the hell are those?!?!?! you reach for something :dead: bang u dead

I saw a P-40 Mustang fly over last Sunday - big slow revving V-12 with a brutish supercharger whine...tasty! So... you could clearcoat it, fit the brownings(?), longrange droptanks, airscoop for the blower, variable pitch prop... Ahhh hang on, this it a car we're talking about... Just stick with the clear coat, I saw a XK140 Jag that had it done and it looked fantastic!

now I have seen this done aswell and its not gona happen here.

I need color in my life. :devious:

Sorry folks but the P-40 known by many names but made famous in the USA (the colonies) by the flying Tigers in South East Asia had an Allison engine. The early P-51 Mustangs had the Allison but we in the colonies :classic: could not get the supercharger to work correctly the Brits came to the rescue :rambo: , the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine was substituted and the rest is history. Yes you are correct the Rolls-Royce Merlin is a sweet sounding engine. Another item of note is that the Mustang was spec'ed by the Brits to replace the Spitfire.
