nissan C110 knockoff

Featured Replies

Yeah they are pretty similar in design style. Some of the other Nissans of the era are similar too. Here are some pictures of an American one (note the fabulous bumpers) that was on eBay in October 2004 :alien:

Very much an oddball car, but I think they are great. Quite futiuristic from some angles... and from others, well....

cool, love the dash!! very very cool! the rear looks like somebody has mangled a 240k to get a set of camry tail lights in there

oh please don't use the u.s. version (the light blue in pics)

the s10 silvia was called a 200sx here in the states, and was severely uglified with by the nixon bumpers

the car was powered by an l-series 4cyl. and had a live rear axle

more mechanical parts shared with the a10 series

but the styling definitely an evolution of the c110 coupe

Hard to believe one of these showed up to the Mt. Shasta All Datsun Meet 2006: S10 Autocross

Interesting ... got some pretty MEAN flared guards too. Kind of 944 style. I wonder what kind of suspension setup they use and if they're similar to anything else. Couldn't be too easy a task to do it up... :|

Nissan had a bit of a theme going on in the 70's

The cherry had a bit of C110 style too. Check out the shape of the side rear windows.

Unusual for Nissan at the time, the Cherry was FWD!

They certainly were a little experimental (in terms of design) back then :)
