I need to get my early 260Z to the shop for final paint and it will need to be towed or on a trailer. I have the front suspension in except brakes. The rear suspension is in except diff. and brakes. No motor or trans. Would it be safe to tow her using a car dolly on the front and staying on city streets? Thanks for your input.

Yup, that should work fine.

I think renting a tow dolly and hiring a tow truck cost about the same. Just less hastle with the tow truck.

Yep, a tow dolly will work just fine in your case. I still prefer to trailer a car though...then again it's easy for me since I own a car trailer.
