I have been told that the 240 front fenders are still being made , in Korea . They were suposedly thinner that the OEM and the quality not as good , but available. I don't know if they are the ones offered by Nissan or after market .

Actually metal stamping technology has improved considerably in the past 30 years. I am sure that it is possible to make the fenders thinner, but whether or not that is a desirable thing is a matter for a separate discussion...
