So if I take of the valve cover and their is dirt in it how do I clean it and what could it do to my Z if anything?

Like 240ZX said, just change your oil and filter and you should be okay unless the car has been in and off-road race.

Just get a oil filler cap before u run the car again, and if u cant get one immediately, just cover it with sometihng.. I dont know how strong the vaccum is but maybe a strong rubberband an tinfoil ( not syraan rap cuz it might melt) just a thought
