Honda wiper motor in a Z???

Featured Replies

Hello....I have been a club member for a couple years and up to now have only read the mail....I was talking to a neighbor, a fellow Z nut, he said he had heard that there is one model honda wiper motor that will bolt into the 240Z. I said " you mean the blower motor" and he said no...the wiper motor. Have any of you heard about this swap?

Regards,

Livenbad

some user in here is *in* the process of doing it and he said he would do a write up. there are pictures in the archives i believe...do a search.

A guy on Hybridz.org did that a while ago. He used The 94 Honda accord wiper motor.

Thanks for the replies....Wiper motor is now the least of my problems!!! I am the dumbest arse on the planet as after owning this car for over 30 years I have managed to cook it by putting battery cables on backwards. Don't even know where to start.

Try asking a question. Any question. Start simple and narrow in on the specific.

thx

Thanks for getting me back on track. Will start with fusable links (if I can just find them???) and on to the alternator (which was smoking). Then check the battery. Is that a good start? Thanks again TomoHawk

If you are talking about a 240, then there are others who know a lot more about those than me. I have a 280Z, so I know stuff about that.

The mechanical part of the swap is pretty easy to see in all the pictures, but the electrical hookup isn't all that clear. Does anybody have some diagrams on the wiring for the Honda wiper motor to the 280Z?

thx

have you looked in a shop manual?
