Man where did the HUMOR go? You guys are a tough crowd!

You see , this is a web site for exchange of information on the classic Z cars . It is NOT ROMPER ROOM SCHOOL. Tough crowd you bet . Stupid no. Just don't treat us like we are stupid and we will be there when you need help. As for a good manual to watch out for Clymer is the publisher and the 1970-1979 shop manual . The best is the nissan shop manual . The clymer on ebay goes for under $10.00 the Nissan four times that . Gary :disappoin

The only thing about smarts was I was " jokingly" saying that I'm not as stupid as post #23 says I am. Like you said don't treat us like we're stupid, I do know somethings, like i said I did restore my 67 firebird. The title was a joke also just to liven things up a bit!

I am not saying that you didn't, but one has to wonder how this was accomplished (or exactly what you consider a "restoration") when you have to post threads like these:

Note: All of them with an Exclamation Point like it's urgent or something, BTW

Ok Ok Bambkiller Hates Me. I Did Restore My Firebird, Mainly The Body, So I Do Need Help On Other Things. I Ask These Questions So I Don't F*ck Something Up And Pay More For It In The Long Run. As Far As Using The Exclamation Point, I Use It Because Most Of The Time It Is Urgent, Others Because It Matches The Ones With The Point, And Sometimes For The Soul Purpose Because I Like It!!!!!!!!!!!! I Shall Try To Never Ask Another Tech. Question That I Should Already Know. Thanks For Posting All Of My Threads Carl!!!

No I don't hate you, I've tried to help answer many of your questions.

I Ask These Questions So I Don't F*ck Something Up And Pay More For It In The Long Run.

That is fine, but some of these questions can be resolved looking at your manual. But, IMO you seem to prefer to not read it and even try to find the answer yourself.
As Far As Using The Exclamation Point, I Use It Because Most Of The Time It Is Urgent,.............
Now you are blowing smoke. You've told us the car is an hour away from you, and also you've mentioned that you go to school 18 hours a week and work 40 hours a week. Yet you post these questions all week long. And the range of questions is scattered all over the automotive landscape. There seems to be no focus to what you are trying to accomplish.
Thanks For Posting All Of My Threads Carl!!!

You have started 13 threads to date. I only listed 7 of them. (I didn't include the "What V8" thread and 5 others)

Well i have some car smarts, I am 20 yrs old I have restored my 1967 firebird I bought when i was 15. I do know somethings about cars! I just don't like to F*CK things up when I know I can check several places before doing it and one of those places is this web site and you guys!!

Exactly, which is why do dont need people hassling you when all you did was come here for help. Theres alot of negativity here.

Maybe if people have nothing constructive to add, they should refrain from posting.

Alot of what I post is based on 'been there, done that' and in my sometimes crude way I was just trying to give him a 'heads up' on what he's in for. He should have mentioned earlier that the smog pump itself was toast. Maybe someone here could have helped him find one. It's more trouble and expense to remove the entire system than to simply replace the pump. As for DGV's, I think less of them than flat tops, that's JMO. But, as Carl says, we have meandered all over the automotive landscape here and it gets kind of frustrating when you see advice and/or suggestions being given and seemingly not being followed. And then the same questions being asked again in another thread. There are two 'cremmenga somg pump' threads. Why? No one, at least not I, is assuming that the man is stupid. That's why you ask questions. To gain knowledge. Not one of us here was born with the necessary expertise to work on these cars. We learned. But this is a public forum. In a public forum I have become accustomed to criticism. I've had some aimed at me and I've levied out some. If you think it's bad here, check out some of the other fourms. Thicken up that skin.
