December 6, 200420 yr comment_104349 The rubber stamp sounds like a good idea for the factory, but us non-OEM-types wil have to improvise. the high-tech print probably won't look like the original, but except for concours events, what would it matter? December 6, 200420 yr comment_104353 If one can determine the font and size of print, a rubber stamp can easily be ordered, and shouldn't cost too much. For "non-OEM types" a Sharpie pen could work just fine.I wonder if Mike at Banzai might not have one (made variable like a date stamp) that can be used to stamp the labels he sells? December 6, 200420 yr comment_104365 I wonder if Mike at Banzai might not have one (made variable like a date stamp) that can be used to stamp the labels he sells?I was wondering the same thing. He could sell them for a couple of extra dollars with the numbers already on them. I looked around and found a number of rubber stamps but didn't see any place that carried a good collection of fonts. This is the best place I could find for custom fonts and an online preview:http://www.xstamperonline.comI saw some other places that carry the stamps with bands of numbers such as here:http://1stopsquare.com/number.html Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/14233-paint-code-sticker/?&page=2#findComment-104365 Share on other sites
December 7, 200420 yr comment_104373 I noticed your hand written paint code number, Vicky. Lets try GEORGIA font 112 906 Georgia is supposed to be close. ( I can't see what this looks like until the post is uploaded ) However the "roman" font group seems to be closest. "Romant" "Romanc" "Pan Roman" and "Euro Roman" fonts are all pretty close. My opinion is that the paint numbers were originally rubber stamped with ink and that is my plan when I get to that point. EDIT: Nope. Georgia isn't correct. Sorry.
