Shock Horror, Wheel nuts

Featured Replies

Just rung up Nissan to get a price for some 280zx wheel nuts to put the 6 spoke wheels on the 240Z. I am 4 short. Price from Nissan was $22.50.

Not too bad considering, until it realised that this was PER NUT!!!!!!

Unbelievable. That makes $90 per corner!!! I've tried the local shops, but they don't have the correct size, so looks like second hand is the go. Anyone on the Gold Coast, or in Brisbane have a few spare? Even one? :stupid:

Post a pic of the nut you need. Someone in the states may be able to get them for far less and ship to you.

If you can't find them locally, They are on the web, Considerably cheaper. How does $1.55 USD each sound to you? wheelcomponents.com Scroll down to "Bulge Medium Mag with Washer". You'll note that these are the only nuts on this page that are .73 inch in diameter, which matches the spec on the Nissan lugs. Our roadster group buys these with the 7/16 pitch thread to fit the Nissan wheels on our roadsters. There has been a few reports from some of the roadster owners that the chrome plating is not all that good. But, WE HAVE to buy them from here as it is the ONLY place we have found with the Nissan spec lug nuts with the roadster pitch! A problem since ZX wheels fit the roadster perfectly! I know the lugs well. Have them on both cars. I can go pick four of them off a car in the junkyard, I might even have some here already. And they would be the actual Nissan lug nuts. The ones in Victor's picture aren't. Let me know if you can't find them locally and you can have them for postage.

Go ask the bloke at MAG-IT in Southport, he might know.

They have a lot of old wheels there. There's always zshop in Melbourne, that bloke in Sydney.. etc etc.

Hey, yeah I got the rude shock!

Alan at the Z shop had about 30 or so in a box for $7.50ea (a couple of months ago).

But id be sure there was at least 4 good ones still there...

I'm sure I will be able to get them locally, I was just caught off guard by the price for new ones. There's one to add to your 'big pile of receipts'

$360 for genuine nissan wheel nuts. LOL
