Nice one.

Be sure you look hard at the rust hot spots. That battery tray looks a little suspect, check underneath it and also the frame rails, doglegs, floor pans and sills for tell tail signs.

Try to keep it on the road while you are bringing it back to life, it will keep the grin on your face.

the rest of the car is rust free the only reson the battery treay is that way the guy who had it befor me fogot to put on the side hood door so water got down in there

Always nice to see the young bloods getting into a car almost twice their age. Restore 'em, rebuild 'em and run 'em against the honda and mitsubishi kids. The original Japanese sports car........they will be impressed and intimidated.

There's no telling how the previous owner set it up. We don't even know which engine it has (L24, L26, L28). But I see triple 40mm (44?) Mikuni's and headers. Hopefully, the Previous Owner did the engine mods to support those HP parts. 160 ~ 210 ? wild arse guess.

Hi mate, welcome to the club. Don't be intimidated - there are actually a fair few younger members here (I'm 19). The car looks very clean and straight and awesome from a distance (datsun.jpeg) - you should be proud. Makes me a bit sad though... it looks like it used to be an awesome machine with a lot of work put into it. Somewhere along the line it just stopped being cared for Do you know it's history?

Definitely got a LOAD of potential though. I'm betting after you give it a wash and polish it will look 1000x better already.

Also, do you have the stock version of the manga car there? I like fiddling with those things too (see attachment!)
