July 5, 200420 yr comment_87566 Unfotunately they are "Flat Tops". For the most part, they are disdained due to the difficulty in getting them properly tuned.Enrique Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12496-what-no-buyers/#findComment-87566 Share on other sites

July 5, 200420 yr comment_87575 You know Mike, f I hadn't gotten such an outrageous deal on a killer glovebox recently, I still wouldn't have bought those "bodanker" carbs-no matter how bad they need a rebuild! Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12496-what-no-buyers/#findComment-87575 Share on other sites

I'm not the one selling them; I was just pointing it out because I thought it was kinda funny. July 5, 200420 yr comment_87582 I emailed this guy with the '4-1-1' on these carbs. I doubt if he will appreciate it.:classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12496-what-no-buyers/#findComment-87582 Share on other sites

July 6, 200420 yr comment_87602 Contrary to popular believe these carbies dont actually make very good boat anchors. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/12496-what-no-buyers/#findComment-87602 Share on other sites
July 6, 200420 yr comment_87615 They are not flat tops. Why don't all you blokes take a closer look at the whole carb rather than just looking at the suction piston covers. Here's a hint for everyone, flat tops don't have remote float bowls.Just for the record i'm not the seller. They look like flat-tops to me. What do you think they are? Don't play games, speak up. July 6, 200420 yr comment_87620 Carl,What makes you say they are flat tops?Unless you guys in the US got different flat tops to us in AUS they look like someone has put flat top suction chambers on a set of round tops to me.Flat tops have the float bowl intergrated under the carb, not remotely mounted on the side.Alan P.
