Twin turboed 300zx engine in 240K!

Featured Replies

Check this link out, some guy in Qld has built it, absolute powerhouse!

Browse the 240K folders there and you have engine pics, exterior pics, etc, plus short movies.

I personally dont like the VG30DETT there's not much room

I prefer the turbo to be top mounted but I think with the 300zx its very difficult to that option

Nice - I am planning a SR20DET swap myself once I pick up a good shell - but that's given me pause to stop and think.

Nah - I have a feeling I'll have a fair bit more space to work with by dropping the SR in - and it may help to balance the weight distribution a bit more too :)

I'm still researching it, any input would be appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I was thinking of swapping a VG30DETT into my GC111, anybody have any information on this guys swap. The link no longer works. I have seen one video on YouTube, but it did not show the engine.

What I am concerned with is having to modify the strut towers, because of the width of the VG30DETT. If anyone can help, or provide input that would be great.

Don't really want this to turn into the classic put an RB in it thread, but if you have infromation to share I'll take it. For various reasons, my only choice of engine swaps are the VG30DETT or the VH out of a Q45.

Chris

I do know the car was sold, and whoever bought it stripped it and was selling the body again on ebay.

Try the internet archive (when its back up). It may have the photos.
